Kookaburra Liquorice Tub, Strawberry, 12 Ounce

I took a chance on this one and was really surprised how good tasting and delicious this Black Aussie Licorice is!! It's a little pricey but you get what you pay for and this to me was worth every cent. I've always loved to eat licorice since I was a kid especially the black flavor with the great molasses taste. This is about as good as it gets fror my taste buds. Really rich flavor that's soft and fresh tasting. The tub is only 12oz. So you need to conserve a bit but a very great treat to savor. I'll probably be ordering more soon since it's so good. A top shelf item that's imported from Australia and made with all the good stuff, nothing artificially flavored here. Real cane sugar, mollases and excellent taste and texture. What more could you ask for in an old fashioned favorite. Maybe a few more pieces!!

I thought I was a black licorice connoisseur... apparently not; This licorice kicked my butt.I liked the soft texture and chewiness -- nearly as chewy as caramels.They were addictive... I opened the container and before I realized it, I had eaten a little over half the tub.Nearly immediately my jaw was numb... like a very weak novacaine... but still the same effect.I never had this happen before with ANY brand of licorice.The taste is different than any other licorice I have tried... probably because they use the real licorice root extract and not anise or anise mixture.

If you like licorice; you will absolutely LOVE this one. Best licorice I have ever tasted.I use to buy it at Royal King and apparently they quit carrying it. Was glad to find iton Amazon. Nice and moist it is, but the taste is what you will fall in love with.

UPDATE!!! Found this piece of glass in my licorice half way through eating it just now! Have to throw the rest out in fear of more glass and I've only eaten 5 pieces! BUYER BEWARE!!!!So I guess this licorice is ok if you don't mind it being the texture of soft Caramel. Didn't like the way it stuck to my teeth, bad!It also doesn't have a strong licorice taste.It's spendy and imho not worth it. I'll stick with my less expensive better tasting brand.Also, if I'm going to spend this much for candy, I'll buy chocolate from now on!

I really like licorice and keep trying to find good licorice. I first found this at a candy store in Carmel on the Sea. They had quite a few licorices and I tried several. This was the best one, so I bought a half pound, thinking that would last a while. Unfortunately, we were driving down the California coast and the half pound didn't even last the first day.I was really happy to find this on Amazon and highly recommend it if you like licorice.

This is, hands down, the best black licorice I’ve ever tasted. So good, I sent a container to my brother as a surprise. So soft and so flavorful.

If you are looking for 'soft' chewy Kookaburra Black Liquorice this the only one that is actually soft textured. (If you prefer Red - chose Kookaburra Licorice, Strawberry by Shamrock Trader)Only Buy the 10 oz 'pouches' or 12 oz 'tubs' - Their labels say "Rich, Chewy…"DON'T BUY 1 lb, 2 lbs, or bulk packages - they are NOT soft, chewy style! I've tried out amazon supplied ones as well as other manufacturers. They are NOT SOFT!
