STORY: I found this preworked handmade needlework by Buscilla on eBay. The ballerina was accompanied by a male ballet dancer separate needlepoint. Both still had their original tags attached and once sold for $2.50 each. They are old and I'd date them to between 1940-60s. The detailed needlework is superb, as you can almost see her dress swirl as she turns on point. Buscilla is a 100+ year old company and well known for exquisite needlework canvasses. A "preworked" canvas has the main design already stitched and the purchaser fills in the background. The dancer in this pillow is preworked with an unfinished background and the pillow price reflects this fact. However, this one-of-a-kind custom pillow is professionally designed and stitched and displays the ballerina beautifully.
