Not too lightweight so doesn't fall over
The fire guard is sturdy. It doesn't have a handle. but handles would get hot anyway.It's possible to move with the fire tongues.the paint work at the bottom was slightly vhipped when it arrived.

Black fire guard
This fire guard was a bit of a disappointment really, it’s quite flimsy and when it arrived it had some dents in the mesh which were quite visible, when it was put in situ on the hearth you couldn’t notice the dents at all. This was purchased to keep my kitten out of the fireplace and it does the job, I think if it was for child safety then i would suggest something a bit more robust. It was relatively cheap so it’s not the end of the world and it looks ok.I would say it’s value for money.

This fire guard is not only safety efficient but is very pleasing on the eye, looks very expensive

Good Price
Perfect for what we needed as we burn sea coal which can spark and spit a lot. Has quite a tight mesh, is discrete and easily tucked away when not needed
