Shaving Oil 100ml oil by Village Barber

I use this product to softern whiskers and help smooth shave

I switched to wet shaving several months ago and as the learning process has evolved I learned I needed some extra added protection for my neck area. I learned about this product and it's very high marks on another site but found it cheaper here. If you have sensitive skin or just a few problem areas, like i did, this will get you over the hump for the best shaves of your life. Shave oils seem a bit pricey at first but a little truly goes a long way. The scent is mild but makes you think of a barber shop and it works, do not hesitate if you need a little extra glide.

I was disappointed in the ingredients.

I've been shaving for over 47 years and tried a number of different techniques/products shaving (wet, electric, canned foam, pre-shave lotion, etc.). Recently I was thinking of how unsatisfied I am shaving so I decided to find out how I could get a great shave, not just a good shave. So after much time spent looking on the internet, I decided to switch back to wet shaving but this time with a good DE razor and Village Barber oil. I had spent a lot of time researching the various razors, creams/soaps and brushes (a brush can easily cost more than the razor!) but I just felt a little overwhelmed at all the choices these days. Then I saw Village Barber oil on youtube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oAg6CBr7ZmU) which even at my age, I learned some things about shaving from this video. I thought this approach with oil looked much simpler than the soap/brush method so I decided to give it a try. Now I'm hooked on both Village Barber oil & balm. I only use about a dime's size of the oil in my hand for each shave and I get a great, close shave. Both my wife and I find its smell pleasant and subtle. Clean up is quick and easy. I can honestly say that I now enjoy shaving and my face, especially my neck, feel like a million bucks when done.

Yes OIL is the way to shave and yes this is good oil. BUT! Its no better than Africa's Best Herbal Oil and you can buy that for less than $2 for 8 oz at Wal-Mart! I've used this oil and many many others. Shaving with nothing but oil and razor is really the only sane way to go. But do try it with Africa's Best at Wal-Mart. It is SO very good and dirt cheap.

Very good oil

Great product. I have sensitive skin and a fairly tuff beard. I use Village Barber with a shave cream for the first pass of my shave. For the second and third passes I use a Proraso pre shave with a shave cream and get a nick free and very close shave. I do use a adjustable razor and start with a more aggressive setting and move to less aggressive settings with each pass. Only a few drops of this oil is needed, therefore a bottle of Village Barber Oil should last at least three months. Village Barber Oil helps your razor glide smoothly through your beard on all three passes. I will be purchasing this product again.Update****** GREAT PRODUCT Helps give me a smooth nick free shave.
