Jolly Phonics Workbooks 1-7: In Print Letters (American English Edition)

Jolly Phonics is a very good set of books for children 10 and below. It uses funny imagery, stories and actions to help children remember the phonetic sounds of the alphabet. I find that the whole book series (if taught once a week at a pace of 1-2 phonetic sounds) can be completed in about a year. Each phonetic sound has an image with a story, and the story connects the phonic, the letter and an action. This page can also be coloured in. The next page has writing practice, with some simple example words to practice the sound. Towards the end of each book, there are practice activities, such as matching the sounds to images, or unscrambling a word. There are also some craft activities in each book. Overall, a good series, and kids generally enjoy it.

Was looking for an open and go phonics book. This is exactly what I was looking for and will work great for my 5 yr old starting kindergarten this year. It has the letter sounds, practice on writing them and writing words as it adds letters. Also lots of practice in tracing dotted lines and shapes.

My grand daughter loves these workbooks. I’m using them to help offset the sight word curriculum and the work ooks are helping her

Very useful for foundation stages

It's basic for kindergarten level like my 4year old. 6 book was received and not 7 as advertised number 3 is missing
