I was very apprehensive to buy this as it is expensive and our cat turns her nose up to almost everything. She was scared at first but after 1 day LOVES sleeping on the 1st 2nd or 4th floor. Very happy about the purchase. I work on my computer and the cat naps above me.

I bought this to try out as I’m going to be purchasing a travel trailer and traveling full time for the next couple of years. My little Wednesday is very curious and active, so I need to have things that will fit the smaller space but are still engaging. She loves to climb and be up high, so a cat tree is a must. As this hangs over the door, I thought it would be perfect. She loves it. To add interest I’ve tied ribbons and toys to the sides for her to bat about or catch. It’s had the added benefit of keeping her off the dresser and nightstand and playing with my things. It was expensive, and the price has gone up since I bought it, but similar products aren’t priced much differently. This one is pretty well made and very easy to assemble. It attaches to both the top and bottom of the door for added support. It doesn’t move much if you secure the straps well. She has no problem navigating it, though she’s a bit longer than the average cat. She can also be a bit tough on toys. With this one she doesn’t always climb up through the holes; sometimes she climbs up the outside, sort of hanging off as she does, but it doesn’t buckle and stays in place. Overall a pretty good product.

The cat is loving this new addition to the flat. He worked out how to use it immediately (unfortunately he also worked out he could use it to climb on top on the door if left open which was a heart in mouth moment! Lesson learnt).The climber is much sturdier than I thought it might be, and also heavier. No concerns about it breaking. The mechanism to lift the platforms up and out of the way works well. Once the hooks were on the door it was very easy to put up. But the issue for me was the door hooks were slightly different sizes, and while 1 fit the door width 2 did not. So I had to pry them wider with a hammer to go on which wasn’t ideal. Even for the hook that fit, it was too snug a fit to keep the protective pads on between the hook and door. So those had to come off. If we hadn’t had the problem it would have been a 5 star purchase.Aside from that, we have had lengthy play sessions going up and down it, and he loves sleeping on one of the platforms surveying his domain too.
