It was one of the most well-researched and comprehensive anthologies of New Orleans literature, and it included little known authors, too.

Wonderful book of short stories.

A wonderful collection, with helpful and illuminating introductions. Using it for a course, and it is perfect. The city has needed a book like this for a long time! Even people who think they know the city will find great new stories, poems, and plays. I will be giving copies of this book to people for holiday gifts.

Loved the condensed biography of authors and the stories

i had to have it for school, some of the stories are really good.

This book is very enlightening, I enjoy reading the short stories and the poems.
