Great in so many ways!
We bought this because we originally were gifted the kids version with little animals (which we loved). Unfortunately, the hinges on that game broke so we needed a replacement. This game came with a ziplock bag to store the pebbles and the box is SO compact that the items inside fit just perfectly! Extra large bulky boxes are so frustrating. Would totally buy this again!

I bought this for my five-year-old grandson who already knew how to play it and taught me. This is an ancient game dating back to at least 700 AD. It is hard to describe, very easy to learn, fascinating and very clever.. The board is made of wood, and the stones are beautiful – it’s very tactile and simple and easy to transport. My grandson and I played this over and over, very fast without even speaking, fully engaged. Things can change quickly, and it only takes a few minutes to play each game. We enjoy this game so much and I feel connected with people who have played this game over centuries.
