desertcart.com : [Tokuho] Monderizu Japan Rikarudento grape mint gum bottle R 140g : Grocery & Gourmet Food Review: The best grape gum from Japan, pricey but well worth it. - I first tried this gum in Japan and fell in love with it. It's verylight, fresh and refreshing and retains its flavor for a long time. The grape flavor is delicious and the texture is firm. There is a shell around the gum. It's not ovely sweet with a lot of sugar, which makes this gum even more attractive. It's a bit on the pricey side, but worth it. Review: Good Flavor, long lasting - Love this stuff! Good and long lasting flavor.

Tastes good, chews well, maybe helps teeth too!
It's hard to tell how beneficial the Recaldent "feature" of this gum really is. And yet, that's the primary reason for buying this gum. You don't pay a premium for gum just for the fun of it, you're looking for some benefit for your teeth in a way that's convenient to use. Gum is sort of the perfect vehicle for that; keep this in your car, and before you know it you're also helping out your teeth. But how can one know that the Recaldent is doing anything? You would need a way to split the universe in two, and in one universe I use this gum and then have my tooth enamel analyzed, and in the other universe I don't use this gum and have my tooth enamel analyzed, and then I somehow communicate this data from one universe to the other (which universe does not matter) - and only then would I know if this gum's Recaldent made a positive impact. But we're not there yet, technologically speaking. As a flavor - this is very grape. It's an "interesting" grape. If this were your standard chewing gum, I would say it's not my favorite grape flavor. But given the "potential" benefits (see above), it's a grape flavor that I can still enjoy and live with, even if it's not amazing. The grape flavor that it does have lasts a long time. From a consistency standpoint, I would say this gum is not soft but also not too hard. It's pleasantly chewable without feeling like slime in your mouth. One other thing that's worth noting, this is a VERY fragrant grape! Chew this in the car with other people and soon one of them will ask "are you chewing grape gum??". Sometimes your wife may ask that with a less-than-pleasant look on her face. But such is the cost of potential benefits to the enamel of your teeth. Overall I'm a fan and I'll probably buy some more.

Dentist recommended gum that tastes GREAT!
Firstly, this is the only gum that your dentist will ever recommend that you chew. EVER! Why? Because it actually is scientifically proven to rebuild the calcium on your teeth! No, you won't be able to find it here in America because regulators are dragging their feet. The dentists all want this here now. It is sold throughout Australia, New Zealand, Thailand, Japan, and the rest of the far east. I chose this brand over the Trident version because it contains twice the amount of the calcium rebuilding chemical than what is in the Trident. Lastly, the flavor is absolutely FANTASTIC! It starts off with a really delicious grape flavor with a hint of mint, and then as the grape flavor fades over time, you're left with a satisfying mint flavor with a hint of cloves that just lasts and lasts. When I say that it lasts, I mean it LASTS! After 2-3 hours this gum still had flavor, and that's actually REALLY important. WHY? The calcium rebuilding properties of this gum work better the longer that you chew it. So keep on chewing your stick of gum for hours, as it's actually better for your teeth when you do! I just ordered the Lime Mint to see how that one tastes, but I expect really really good things. I'll post a review on that flavor once I've received it and tried it with my family. Myself, my wife, and our 9 year old son absolutely LOVE the Grape-Mint flavor. You can't go wrong with it. PS... Until the seller decides to stock this item directly in one of Amazon's warehouses, please be aware that it ships directly from Japan (My son loved the cool envelope with its Japanese postmarks!), and will take about 1 month to arrive. So if you like the gum after chewing the first stick, you'll want to order a replacement pack so you won't run out before the next order arrives. ;-)

Good chew
I haven’t had it long enough to notice dental effects, but the taste is really good. A very good grape and cooling mint.

Good flavor, good for your teeth
My doctor recommended me to use Recaldent either in toothpaste or chewing gum in order to remineralize my teeth. I decided to try the chewing gum method and it has been a product of high quality, good flavor and good for a healthy teeth. Inside of the container, there is some kind of a little "Post-it" that I was not sure what was that for in the beginning. Now I know that it might be for wrapping the chewing gum and throw it away. Japanese products always thinking for the best experience possible.

Very good, long lasting
The little 'cracker-jack' type prize inside is cute, but I think the function of the little paper slips is to dispose of used gum since there are no wrappers. They're like post-its but they're not terribly sticky. My scale says there are 110 pieces. The gum keeps its flavor and sweetness for a very very long time. I'm not a fan of mint and I like the cooling and the grape flavor. I assume the cooling flavor is the component of menthol which causes the cooling sensation called "menthyl methyl lactate". Remember, if you're using products to remineralise your teeth you should avoid toothpastes and mouthwashes with tartar control additives, they're chelators and they chemically bind the calcium and other minerals in your saliva to prevent them from depositing on and hardening plaque into tartar, and these minerals are what are needed to remineralise your teeth.
