largest thing you can or could fit in this would be an iPhone 4 or an iPod touch. Items as large as an altoids tin can fit inside the clipped portion

Q: Will this fit the Leatherman Super Tool 300?

My initial response would be probably not... The "Super Tool 300" has a closed length listed at 4.5" which is exactly what the "Barnacle" is listed at and both of mine measure out at or very near the same... There is some flexibility/stretch room in the Barnacle so you may be able to stuff it in there and get it zipped... But most likely it will be a poor fit and you'll always have trouble accessing, zipping, etc... I just tried my Skeletool which is listed at 4" and it "just fits" so the extra 1/2 inch will likely be a problem for the Super Tool. Maxpedition has several alternatives that will work very well... Look for one the pouches with a total length of 5" or more... That will give you a little leeway but also hold your Super Tool without too much jiggle or slop. Take a look at the "3x5 pouch" or the "4x6 pouch" as good possibilities.

I think the binoculars are going to be too big to fit the barnacle, the case is pretty small, which is why I got it, I wanted something smaller than the maxpedition 4x6 pouch, but large enough to carry about two altoids tins......plus, the center divider will prevent you from putting one solid object, personally, I didn't need the divider so I cut it out of mines.
