Dragons & Fantasy (Drawing Made Easy)

Misleading title only 2 pages were dragons
You can’t call a book with the leading title as Dragons when their is only two how to photos of dragons and they are not even that good. They should have just called it fantasy bc the rest of the how to pages are fantasy. I bought this book for the dragon how to’s. Very disappointed in that aspect.

Useless
This book is for some professional illustrator or someone who know how to draw (good), because the steps go from your usual 1, 2, 3 and done. See the images I uploaded and if you think that you can follow alone, go for it.

Designed for More Advanced Artists
This not for beginners, but for advanced artists. I was really hoping for a step by step page, for first time drawers, At least one spread. Otherwise it is a well done book if you are a more advanced illustrator and understand 3 dimensions.

NOT actually for beginners, despite misleading title
I purchased this book with the presumption that it would actually make the drawing of fantasy creatures easier than I normally found it, given that the title directly states "Drawing made easy". HOWEVER, in order for beginners with little to no previous experience to truly understand any of the drawing steps after the third or so, you pretty much need to buy the other books in the series (as advertised on the inside jacket) because they use techniques or skills that, should you not understand them, will leave you just as confused as before. Now for those with previous experience, depending on your degree of skill and what techniques or art-terms you know, this could in fact be a fun book to learn from. But the fact that it gives the appearance of a beginner's book takes away from this fact. Overall, the book is more for intermediate users.

Sucked
One of the worst drawing books, I've looked at, provided broad advice, and not much detail. It's called dragons, but there is actually less dragon drawings then other creatures. Its labeled drawing made easy, but you need to already be an artist to even understand this book

I was hoping for more than 3 dragons because I like this artist's style vs other dragon books
Not exactly what I was expecting. I was hoping for more than 3 dragons because I like this artist's style vs other dragon books. The step by step is good and I love the explanation of wings, horns and scales because that's what I have the most trouble with. If you're looking for anatomy help this isn't a good book, but besides dragons it has a fairy, griffin, gargoyle and a few other mythical creatures.

re-learning to draw
I haven't drawn in so long I needed a refresher. Getting my drawing hands back again thanks to this book on "how to". And moving on to more that I haven't done in ages! Thanks for the motivation.... Grandson getting a dragon for Christmas!

Very good book
Very good book kind of on the small side but a very good instructional book all in all!

Looks can be deceiving!
Erm.... thought for 6.99 I was going to get an a4 sized book with a good inch worth of pages... nope! I received an a5 sized booklet with very little in the way if step by step, would have been easier if the diagrams were bigger! That will teach mentors read the descriptions!

Frustrating aspects - not exactly 'drawing made easy'!
Firstly, the drawings in this book are lovely, and the artist evidently has a lot of skill. There are two big issues with this book:1. The drawings for each step are far too small,2. The steps involve adding a lot of detail at each stage.Coupled together, this makes it very difficult to work out what on earth is going on for some of the creatures! Actually working out the anatomy is time-consuming, and even infuriating at points. Not a relaxing experience.Probably not the artist's fault - the publisher would do well to think about redesigning this as a larger book.I wouldn't recommend this for a beginner, as it will probably have you tearing your hair out!

... detail on how to draw these mythical creatures and good tips using correct pencils
A lot of detail on how to draw these mythical creatures and good tips using correct pencils. Wish I had more time to try it out.

I have already tried out the techniques and I am delighted at how much fun I am having
may the adventure start. I brought this to help illustrate a journal of 'there be dragons' an adventure into the lands of the stones and the mountains. I have already tried out the techniques and I am delighted at how much fun I am having. A must for every budding dragon creater

Superb selection
Excellent, fabulous sketches and lovely selection of wings, heads, torsos, animals. You can make up your own mythological creature from all the sketches.
