No Rust at All!
I remember I spent like 3 weeks vacillating on whether or not to buy this teapot because I saw a couple reviews complaining of rust. I feel like these people must live in an area with hard water issues, because despite not following the attached "care instructions," which direct you never to leave water in the pot when you're not using it, I have had no issues in that regard. I've left water in this teapot since the very day I bought it, have used it 20+ times, and haven't seen a single speck of rust. On top of that, it's super cute. I definitely recommend it.

Bad spout and whistle cap design
I hate to write this, because I know the designer had best intensions to make a beautiful kettle. But, when it comes to function, I have issues. The spout is positioned too low and the whistle spout does encapsulate the spout. The problem is that water can only be filled half way to avoid water spitting all over your stove when boiling. You pay for the water container size in order to boil more water, but end up disappointed. Also, the whistle cap only overlays the opening, instead of encapsulating the spout. So, water leaks out of the spout from underneath when boiling, and the whistle is weak. *I've had a cheap, lackluster kettle but with proper design, that is more satisfying - high positioned spout and spout encapsulating whistle cap, the result is I can fill the body to the top, get my money's worth and hear a loud whistle from a great distance.* I LOVE THE MARIGOLD COLOR AND STYLE. However, I have to send it back due to disappointing function. Two stars, one for vintage style and one for color.

Really works for me!
I jumped on and bought this kettle as soon as I saw the color, which matches my kitchen perfectly and I just hoped it was a good quality tea kettle. So I’ve used it for a while now and I have to tell you it’s absolutely perfect for what I want it’s not the largest tea kettle in the world but for the two of us me and my husband it was great it stays clean, it’s easy to clean, The handle stays cool, I can easily remove the cover while it’s boiling if I need to, the whistle is loud enough to hear through the house without being annoying,I have no complaints whatsoever.

Very nice
I love that it is substantial without being heavy. It’s easy to flip the lever without getting hit with steam. Also very nice color selection

Pretty AND functional
I love this teapot! Marigold yellow is a bolder color than canary yellow. It holds enough water for 3 big mugs and it brightens my kitchen.

beautiful color
I care about quality and efficiency and all that, and this kettle has these things, but what I REALLY care about is color! This kettle is a very nice warm yellow, a bit less red in it than the photo, but still a lovely color.

High Quality
I love this teakettle! It’s really sturdy and well-made, but it has such a classic look. It matches the decor in my charming 1925 home without giving up modern quality.

Dangerous POS
The whistle is misaligned on the spout which causes the steam to blow back on your hand. When pouring the boiling hot water the spout dribbles boiling water onto the counter when trying to fill your cup. Also you have to pour very slowly (pouring slowly makes the dribbling worse) or the water shoots violently out of the spout. I want to take it out and drive over it with my Jeep but my wife won’t let me. My wife wants to keep using it because it is pretty (this is the only good thing to be said about it). I do not recommend this product to anyone but if you do purchase this be very careful that you do not get burnt.Update: I really, really, really hate this tea kettle!
