First and foremost, remember that this is only $20 so if you are expecting a high end pole then look elsewhere. This is a telescoping fishing pole that already has mono fishing line attached. This isn't going to be a professional fishing pole. The pole itself doesn't feel extremely durable and the reel is obviously low end. The kit of lures/hooks/weights is also low quality but this item is meant to be a very affordable pole for someone who will occasionally want a pole when backpacking to fish those hard to reach areas.

Good for a starter kit. Comes in a handy carrying case, with small tackle box and a variety of lures and bobbers. The reel seems to be scent quality, better than I was expecting for the price. The rod is telescopic, easy to open and close, great for stowing compactly in the carrying case. For the price, I think it’s a great value and would make for a good first set; comes with everything you need to get someone started. Good for a kids birthday gift. Would recommend more for value than quality of items overall. Happy with it though.

The pole arrived on time but the reel was dirty like its been used before one of the eye hole is loose and moves around. The quality seems very low. I have not had a chance to take it out yet to physically test its strength but with the flimsy feel this was designed for a beginner kid.

The media could not be loaded.  What you should know:- The kit comes with a medium-heavy carbon telescoping rod…good general size. The rod feels sturdy and has a fast action.- The kit comes with a “2000” size reel…basic, but good general size. The reel is all plastic. Not a big deal really, but metal would be more durable/quality.- The rod and reel combo has a good “feel”; it has a nice and light weight and balance. The reel has a smooth and quiet operation.- The listing states that the line pre-spooled into the reel is a 6 lb. test nylon line, so likely. The lure/sinker/hook kit is also a nice touch.- Also not a big deal, but I wish there was an index/line on the rod to more quickly line up the guides when extending the rod.- The rod handle is just a little short...expected for portability...but it also has a threading for a mount, though most are metal internal threads, and this is external plastic.- It's a cheap plastic case but it works. Also, I like that the case is “freeform” rather than molded. It’s easier to thrown the rod in it, and also add accessories to the kit.-It comes with stickers...for kids.Bottom Line:This kit is really good quality for the listed price, and especially as a “kid’s rig”….and the portability provides a great option to have/keep on hand.

Our son has never ice fished. I got this set for him, and he loved it! It has everything you need to start! The case is a huge plus!!

This kit has everything you need to get started with fishing. The rod is very light weight and telescopes nicely and securely. There is an included carrying bag and small tackle box full of entry level tackle and lures. The reel isn't anything special but seems to do the job.This meets all of my expectations for a beginners set.

The build quality is good! It’s an awesome pole to keep in your truck, it can be stored away easily & is good quality while fishing. Definitely worth it!

Seems good value but bought for a holiday and haven’t used yet. Would recommend as far as I can without using.

This item arrived without a reel, lures etc merely the rod, I am unable to find a way of contacting the supplier. The rod looked good enough but useless for my grandson's birthday without a reel
