Need longer cord
I had to rewire so I could get it to work on my 2011 chevy 1500 cord was way way to short.

It's OK
I just got this product and put it on my 2020 Chevy Colorado Z71. As others have written, the lights are not bright. Hitting the brakes does make it brighter as advertised, but don't expect it to be as bright as your brake lights. I'm sure it will look better in the dark. Also, as others have claimed, the wiring is not very long. I was able to use it but had to be inventive on making the plug a little smaller so it would fit in the opening so I could use as much wiring as I could. Also, the package says ready in 2 minutes. I needed my wife to hold the unit together so I could put the screws/bolts in the holes. (4). I also wrapped part of the wiring in black wiring tape so it would totally blend with my truck color. I'm OK with it, but when it quits working, I will just use a Black hitch cover with no light.

I'm kind of upset with this
I hooked it up after hitting the try me button. When I plug it in to my truck it won't work but it works when hooked up to the little test battery it comes with. My plug works fine I tested it with my trailer. Not really sure why this thing won't work ive tried about everything and I'm pretty disappointed.

It’s ok. Nothing special. It’s cheap thin plastic. It looks sturdier than it is which I guess is a good thing. It’s only purpose is to look good. Wish I had repurchased the “SS” one I lost instead of this one. The biggest plus for me is that it holds my trailer light harness in an easy accessible spot. No longer have to tuck the wires under the bumper when not in use.

Nice, but not for our truck
My son just bought a new Chevrolet pickup truck so I was looking for gifts to make it more useful. I found these on an Amazon search for Chevrolet accessories. I should have read the fine print before ordering. His truck is a 3500 and has a 2.5" hitch receiver. This is made for smaller receivers. We thought we could make it work, but alas even if it did fit in the hole, the wires would not reach the trailer wiring outlets that are up near the license plate. Sadly, we had to return them.
