Use this board to share church services by way of internet. The price was good and we use android phones as cameras and iPad as the source board.

We used switcher studio for our church for a few years and this has saved us tremendously! Now we can live stream our services without having an ongoing billing for streaming !!

This is a great solution for people that have iPads and iPhones that want to start streaming right away and a high-quality mixer and switcher built in at their fingertips. However at a $300 price Roland does not allow you to use this product to create content. Unfortunately you can only use it to stream as of April 2022. For those of us that a solution to record our video audio/video content this is a huge deal breaker. Even Roland’s Go live cast which is considerably cheaper allows you to record without having to stream. Also another issue that I had is the preset features that allow you to go live to YouTube don’t work instead you have to use a custom feed and a streamkey in order to get this working if on YouTube. YouTube is your only platform this could be frustrating. Everything else about the product is great I’m really on the fence of whether I should return it or hold out for a software update It’s now 2023 Rowan has updated the software you cannot record or stream with this device they seem to be updating it. So I added a star to my review. One thing I will note is you have to have a newer iPad or iPad Pro and the stable Wi-Fi in order to professionally use this device. If you don’t have both of these things you might be frustrated. Streaming and wireless camera functionality is flawless and the Roland preamps on the microphones are great

I have about 30 years of experience in professional and personal live sound/audio/studio applications, including some video production work. For the money/price, this is a good, simple solution for live streaming. This will work if you can't afford the equipment/camera or computer stuff. I bought this used for $175, and it came in perfect shape. I run a live channel for my prophetic ministry and needed a simple way to set up a switcher for media files; screen captures, and my iPhone/tablet/computer. I have experience with Switcher Studio, but the subscription costs are way too high. I also tried OBS (which would have been awesome), but my computer is a 2014 Mac mini and can't handle the computing power for the broadcast… This runs very similarly to Switcher Studio. It is nowhere near as good as the Switcher app, but it will do the job. Honestly, there aren't any other solutions, so it must work. Some of the media files do not have audio, which is frustrating. The button to start/stop the live stream is glitchy; you must hold the button down while tapping the off option on the tablet. Sometimes, it takes multiple tries to end the stream. The audio input signals are also a bit glitchy when trying to set the correct signal chain paths. It takes some time and practice to get used to. The software has options to adjust the bit rate quality, but there were still 15-20-second delays regardless of the rate settings. Overall, if you need a cheap, simple solution for live streaming multiple sources, this will work. It takes a bit of practice and getting used to it. I don't love it, but I also don't hate it. I most certainly would NOT recommend you waste your money on buying this at the full retail price!

I run my small churches media team! It works great for every service!!! But it if you need a multicam solution

On the surface, this looks like an amazing deal for a mobile streaming setup. HOWEVER (and this is a big one)... you must use the USB-C cables that come with the device and not "third party" ones. Imagine my chagrin when I arrived to my gig with my standard, APPLE BRAND Lightning to USB-C cable to connect my iPad to the mixer and the Roland Aerocaster DID NOT detect it. And without the use of the iPad app, you cannot use the unit at all. Not even as a standalone sound card for a simple mic input. Considering you can get a basic USB sound with mic inputs for barely a hundred bucks, a $300 device with mic inputs should be able to at least do that even if you didn't use it for streaming. These oversights make this unit (almost) unusable. Should have saved my money and purchased a YoloLiv instead. :(

It works but the streaming quality is not great. I bought it to have a portable streaming system but the video is not high definition.
