Realm Tailors Chalk Pencils, Dressmaking Dressmakers Chalk Pencil for Marking Fabric, Pack of 4, 4 Colours

I bought these to mark out a dark fabric, none of them show up well enough to use. The chalk in the white and yellow was damaged, breaking (several times) as soon as I tried to use them. Possibly due to poor packaging or just poor quality. Waste of money :(

These pencils look pretty and was just what I was wanting but unfortunately they didn’t do what I expected. I wanted chalk pencils so that I could mark fabric but I had to press hard to get them to mark and this caused puckering in the fabric. Much better on dark coloured denim material but not for thinner or more fragile fabric.

These are just colouring pencils. Just used the blue one on white cotton, doesn’t mark like chalk. Very hard lead, doesn’t remove from the fabric the way chalk does. Just expensive at £1 each for some cheap pencils. Save your money. Also desc calls it tailors chalk pencil but the pencil is marked as a quilters pencil. Two different products so the description is wrong. Lame

Don’t work very well on some fabric, particularly on felt which I use regularly. I wanted something that I could use with a ruler, they are very hard, by the time I got a line I could see the fabric was very roughed up. Hopefully they will work better on cottons and poly.

Thought these would be easier to handle but colours either didn’t show up or stay on fabric long enough during sewing. required many times going over a line or mark so it could be seen. Disappointed!
