Thank you so much Amazon for making it so easy to find old resources. I love books that I have used in the past and like in this particular situation it was the perfect gift for a friend. I have a friend, who reaches out to schools, and reads to the classrooms dressed up as the CAT In THE HAT. It was the perfect way for me to thank her by sending her the story of Dr. Seuss as a young man and the journey he took to be an author. Thanks again for having so many book resources available!

Lovely book

This is a wonderful biography, geared for children, on the life of Dr. Seuss. The book focuses on his early years, then has more details about the end of his life in an epilogue. I am not sure who enjoyed this book more, my 7-year-old, or me! We purchased it for our Dr. Seuss unit, part of celebrating his birthday March 2nd. This book encourages young ones to follow their dreams, as it details Ted Geisel pursuing his love for drawing. It is a wonderfully imaginative and positive story. I also love the illustrations! This book really builds your love for this already beloved children's book author. Highly recommend.

Purchased this book to use for a mentor text writing activity with my first graders. This book was full of good info about Dr. Seuss. Some parts were a little over the heads of first graders though. Had to skip around a bit!

I used this book as a read aloud for Dr. Seuss Day! It is full of information. However, I've used it in both a first and a third grade classroom. My third grade students grasped the information much easier than my first graders. Still, it is an excellent resource when learning about Dr. Seuss!
