Love nesting dolls. Just gifted this set to my great-niece for her birthday. Easy separation for little hands.

I purchased this set as a gift. I didn’t want one from China…but I hoped it would still be great. Unfortunately, the paint was chipped and recipient (had it mailed directly to them) said it didn’t appear painted but adhered onto the wood. Unfortunately, the largest doll would not close at all. Was not closed when opened from the box. It is being returned and replaced with a handmade nesting doll. Few $ more but worth it

These dolls are very cute; I bought them as an Easter gift for my son. First impression out of the box, they were packed well, and arrived undamaged. The outside doll (the bear) was nicely painted, but the ears are glued rather sloppily, with visible globs of glue around them.I could not get the dolls apart; I actually had to use a thin metal spatula to separate them. After that first time however, they seem to come apart rather easily, so that was only a minor gripe. A more serious issue is that of all the dolls, 3 of them were not completely flat on the bottom, and had a nub of wood that was just painted over rather than cut or sanded down. This means that those particular dolls won't stand on a table. Trying to cut or sand it now would likely result in me having to touch up the paint, which I'd rather not have to do.Overall, the dolls are all painted well (pretty sure they are not hand painted, and more likely screen printed, but I digress) and are all quite attractive. I always thought nesting dolls were cool, and I'm happy to have a set now. A few minor issues kept these from really being perfect, but still overall a decent set.

This is a very cute set of nesting dolls. The painting on them looks well done. As an adult, I had issues taking them apart to get to the smaller doll. This continued for a few of them. Even over time, this is still a bit of a struggle.
