Classy
Very classy heavy flatware. Looks good too and appears to be very well made.

This set is exactly what we were looking for... great look and weight. We also like the size of each piece... the forks in some sets are very large and this set is the perfect size. The shape fits nicely in your hand (no sharp angles) and looks great on the table. We will use it for everyday and for dinner parties.

Excelente producto me parecen duraderos, mucho mas pesados de los comunes y una excelente relación calidad-precio.

This flatware is truly beautiful. The design is somewhat modern yet somewhat traditional. Just what I was looking for. Compared to the Oneida flatware I purchased in the early 1980's, this is somewhat heavier and larger. That's OK and will just take a little getting used to. The quality of this set is excellent. I would not have thought about buying new flatware, except that as grandchildren have gotten older and volunteer in the kitchen after family means, I started noticing more and more pieces went missing. Ha! So I needed to purchase new flatware just to be able to have enough forks to set the table. This Mikasa set was exactly what I needed. The twelve serving set is perfect for our needs, and the serving pieces are fantastic. This set will look beautiful on the table, whether setting for a formal or informal dinner. I rarely get the silver out any more, and it is nice to have flatware that is pretty enough an of such good quality that it can be used for any occasion. I thought this was an excellent value for the money, and I would definitely recommend this set of flatware.

Cocoa Blossom's quality *appears to be* more like the Original Mikasa — fork tines & spoon bowls have smooth rounded edges... Mikasa's quality suffered greatly when they moved their manufacturing out of Korea. We had a set of Classico glossy c.1999 that had a smaller teaspoon, matching long handle beverage spoons, a pretty punched/punctured salad fork, and the usual additional pieces — with all edges being smooth & rounded. Unfortunately, most of it was pilfered by a mover/van line in North American. (Luckily a few daily-use pieces were with us.) With Classico discontinued we replaced it with Mikasa Serena. Serena has sharp edged forks tines and spoon bowls — it's awful, it made me reluctant to purchase Mikasa again. Cocoa Blossom's quality is more like the Original Classico glossy (the satin Classico with its shovel size teaspoons that came later isn't as well designed or as finally crafted as the original). Time will tell if Cocoa Blossom is of equal quality, if it proves to have issues — If. It. Rusts. Grrrr — I will update this review. ...and Cash in on that lifetime warranty. Cocoa Blossom is glossy not satin. (Satin isn't capable of looking or feeling perfectly clean.) CB teaspoons have the necessary oval shape for my better half; unfortunately, they are in the newer larger size which is disappointing for me. The CB dinner/soup spoons are large and make great serving spoons. The CB knives have solid handles, not hollow. The CB handle design relatively inoffensive** and is consistent throughout the set. The shape and width of the handle will be helpful to younger & older people who have dexterity challenges where as a small, narrow, or round handle could be problematic. (But aren't they cool?) At this point, my better half likes them, I like them, I would purchase Cocoa Blossom again. Really, really relieved that Mikasa's quality appears to be more like it was in 1999 and less like ~2016. **The smooth rounded edges of the pieces, spoon bowl size and shape, and the handle shape were deciding factors in choosing the Cocoa Blossom design. Neither of us had a strong preference about the actual handle design as long as it didn't look like it belonged to our grandmothers. Roses and granules (those tiny, tiny spheres) — hard pass.

After 11 years since purchasing (2016) I ordered 2 teaspoons to replace 2 missing from set. My set is still nearly pristine. Hand washing, no dishwasher, impressed pattern is still perfect and Mikasa logo on back as clear as when purchased. Plastic coated sponge cleaning leaves no marks and air drying leaves no spots. No tarnish nor rust on any item. Very comfortable to use and heavy made handles make eating a pleasant experience every meal. Company has commented how nice they are many times. A great price for a great product. If ever needed to replace, would definately purchase again!
