Offering an absolutely exquisite art deco clear and deep sapphire blue crystal rhinestone encrusted hair comb made from a re-purposed brooch. A swirl shaped lacy silver metal open work design features rich sapphire blue marquise cut crystal rhinestones of varying sizes while the rest of the brooch is completely encrusted with small round cut paved clear sparkly crystals. I just love the lacy Art Deco design and the contrast of the sapphire stones against the small clear stones not to mention the sparkle. The brooch used on this comb is in excellent vintage condition with all stones present and brilliant and no wear to the shiny silver plating. Though definitely in the 1920's Art Deco style, this is a more modern piece. Hair comb measures about 2 1/2 inches (6.3 cm) wide by 2 inches (5 cm) high. The jewels have been mounted at a slight angle to the comb base so that the hair can slide underneath the brooch to the top of the comb keeping it secure. (Two photos show a cloth slipped between the brooch and the comb base so you can see that the teeth of the comb will not show when worn.) * Your jewel will arrive wrapped in tissue inside a gift box.
