Very effective and sturdy. I love mine.

I recently ordered two of the key chains for my scout children. First impressions are that they are solid, no play in metal attachment points, and paracord cobra braid is tight and the cord is finished so it would not come undone unless you wanted it to. They carried and fidgeted with them for a few days, this included opening and closing the buckle many many times, and everything functions as new, I do not believe that an adult would open and close as many times as they did in a solid year. Next they practiced their fire starting skills, the buckle is large enough that it can be easily held and manipulated to get the correct angle and pressure, however is not too big or bulky to be pockatable. Within the first minute my daughter had her tinder blazing, they both started many fires over the course of half an hour. When completed we examined the rod and scraper, the rod was perhaps 10% consumed after all the striking that was done. Overall we are very satisfied and will absolutely order again.

Clasp goes to my belt loop, separation part is right at my Key jeans pocket, and I don't clang around like a Janitor now.The whistle is weak and no one really cares because helicopters looking for you are louder, the stainless cutter is sure to not do much because a knife did it faster, and there's just enough cord to choke myself out or hang a bag of socks. It's a very nice key chain to keep on my work jeans. I'm not saving the world with it though. I'm not seeing a Carabiner outside of the one self closing loop. In the end of days, physical keys won't matter.That said, I really like this thing! I want more just because they're fine at making keychains and they're good. Only con is that the laser cut on the stainless part with "Holtzman" was not tuned at all and had no cover gas. Chinesium through and through on that single aspect.

This is a nice survival item as it is. There's a reasonable ammount of paracord (which i haven't unwound) but it seems to be decent quality. Also included is a metal clip that could be used to attach to a pack, or could be used for various other things if you were in a survival situation. There's a key ring on one end, use it to attach this keychain to a set of keys or any of your gear. also included is a plastic buckle with a whistle molded into one half. It would make a nice replacement for a pack if you wanted to add a whistle, of it can be used to seperate the keychain into two halves. It's small and light weight, but could be used in a million ways if you were in a survival situation. Worth it's weight in gold to someone in need.

It is exactly what it was advertised to be

The whistle works really good. The cord can come in very useful in an emergency situation in the woods. The clip is heavy duty and this hooks perfectly on my pack. I have tried and tried to use the fire starter, still have yet to see a single spark, I'm starting to think the fire starter dont work but it could just be me.

Nice little key chain. It looks to be well made. The clip/hook on the end is really stiff and won't close on it's own. I've worked it open and closed physically by hand and it is getting better and almost closing all the way now. I think if I work it a bit more and maybe add just a touch of light oil it will free up and be good to go.I just purchased my second key chain and really like them. I love being able to clip them to a bag or other things and that they are soft so they don't scratch things or make a lot of noise. Long enough to give you something to hold onto also. The other features are just bonuses to have on hand.
