Sweatsaver Gotham Water Helmet – Ideal for Wakeboarding, Waterskiing, Kayaking, and Other Water Sports

I've had this helmet for about 5 years and it held up nicely with a fair amount of use with windsports (windsurfing and wingfoiling). I put a GoPro mount on the top, which stayed on for over 2 years. I recently bought a second one because the one I'd had for 5 years was slightly too small - my fault - and I was happy enough with my first one that I just bought a new one of the same in the next size up. The only long-term issue I found was that the zipper for the foam insert got corroded from salt water exposure, but I don't blame the manufacturer for that.

I have a a big head, most of the time most XL MTB helmets fit, no problem, but when it comes to rafting, I've had the hardest time finding a lid for my fathead. Thankful I took a chance on this Triple Eight Gotham Water Helmet. It fits perfectly, and is comfortable even after 3 hours on the river! I need to get the ear covers for it for winter river runs, I thought it came with them, apparently, it does not. But besides that, I would recommend this helmet to all my fellow big head river rats! 5 Stars!

IT fits my head and it’s more stylish than other helmets being that it’s black. No complaints.

great helmet, great looking but i have a 23" skull, bought the appropriate XL size, and no way does it fit properly. just wobbles around, with no way to size down a bit or otherwise adjust the fit. thought i'd try the L but all it did was squeeze my brain into a headache. in the end, i stuffed a few things behind the foam in the XL and that seems to be working. Triple Eight should provide something similar as a matter of course. that it doesn't is just bad customer care. i did remove the foam from the L and put it in the XL and that worked pretty well. can't keep it, though, since i'm sending the L back. anyway, quite a hassle but in the end i suppose i'm 4-star happy.

Great for park wakeboarding. Wore it today. Comfortable good fit. Make sure to measure your head don’t guess your size.

I've had other helmets that gave me a headache, this one works great.

My son jumps in a ski show. After jumping many times in the summer, this time his skis landed in the water and one hit him in the back of the head. The helmet did not protect his head from the ski hitting it. It is too high up on the head and does not protect you. He was not able to ski at the End of Season ski show due to this injury. This helmet is not safe.
