GREAT READ.
I enjoyed reading this book and have gone back through it several times to re-read sections. In my opinion, Mr. Baldwin has done excellent research and presents his facts in a knowledgeable and understandable manner. I am so glad I purchased his book because I !earned things I was not aware of. I certainly hope he comes out with another book about this case in the near future! Thank you so much Mr. Baldwin - excellent read!!!!

Good book
Lot of stuff was what was in other books. If you are a Pusser fan it’s worth reading

Buy if you don't mind, of hearing as Buford as a suspect.
This is a book that questions the Death of Pauline Pusser Wife of Sherriff Buford Pusser of Walking Tall Fame. Very revelant right now, considering they just Exhumed her body this month.

Easy reading, important facts discussed.
Easy reading, important facts discussed, lots of first line information from people who were there. Exciting, because you want to keep reading to learn what happened. I am a descendent of Pauline's, so for me it was interesting to find out what happened to her. The author is also from the area, so you know the facts are real. Mr. Oakley has many books about this area and time frame, alll are exciting to read.

Not much depth
I feel like this “book” was intended to spark authorities to offer more information rather to report on the details of the murder of Mrs. Buford Pusser, as suggested by the title. There is no depth and I found the book to be a glorified citing of news reports without much detail (understandably so since the records haven’t been shared). I’m disappointed in the premature publication of this case.

Intriguing, interesting and enjoyable!!!
I purchased this book after reading another story by this author and I’m glad I did!!An interesting and biographical tale of Buford Pusser ( of The Walking Tall fame) and his wife Pauline Mullins.Filled with family background and documented facts on the story of their lives during the outlawing of moonshine and illegal activities in the Virginia/Tennessee area.I couldn’t put it down and wondered how a man and his family could go through so much for the belief in the betterment of their community.

Attention-grabbing !
A thoroughly researched account of what happened on that ill-fated night back in 1967, the events that led up to it, and the events that played out afterwards. Quite the story of illegal activities and murder ! The story kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time. Once again, author Oakley Dean Baldwin does not disappoint in bringing history to life through written , detailed facts. I cannot wait for his next book !

Yikkers
I enjoy true crime books and was looking forward to this one. I was highly disappointed with the book for several reasons. It read like young adult book, written by a teenager. There are multiple grammer issues and the story is not structured well. Each paragraph seemed like it was disjointed, perhaps cut and pasted, leaving the narrative not flowing in a meaningful fashion. Some sentences are written awkwardly and the book seems like it was printed in someone's basement, with low quality equipment. I wouldn't recommend it and often wondered if an editor was involved with this book. Perhaps in another writer's hand, it would have proved interesting.
