The tone is not load enough and not useful in a work environment. The continuity works fine. I use it as a backup now.

I bought this to test some faulty cables and it does work as you would expect it to keeping the price in consideration. As for the durability, when you hold it in your hand, it feels kind of cheap and I'm not sure it would survive a fall. But at this price range I'm not really complaining.
