Another exception holster from crossbreed
Let me start off by saying I've owned many holsters in the last 17 yrs of carrying. I've owned holsters from every major manufacturers and some you've probably never heard of before. Especially now a days when everyone and their grandmom makes holsters. All of which claim "lifetime warranty" I put that in quotations because many companies say that but when something breaks they do not honor their warranties. You will be emailing and calling and either get the run around or no answer at all. All of this is leading up to this review of the crossbreed freedom carry holster. Every Crossbreed I've ever owned has been top notch quality made with quality materials by employees that take pride in their work. This holster is no exception. The fit and finsish is top notch! I was a little hesitant at first about only having one clip but so far zero problems. Very stable even with a glock 19 and 23. The retention is spot on! It seems to have a bit more retention than my supertucks. It feels a bit weird at first especially when your used to a supertuck but after a while it feels right as rain. I mostly use it in a appendix position or at 3:30. If there was one complaint I would say that I wish you could adjust the ride height for appendix carry but haven't felt the need wearing it strong side. You can still adjust the cant when wearing strong side and the clip does not wonder througout the day. It stays exactly where you set it at. It's definately not as comfortable as a supertuck during the break in period but it is certainly comfortable after that. I like it as a compromise for when you might be needing to take your gun on and off through the day. I do believe I will try the new ulti clip design with holes for two screws just because I'm paranoid about things like that but the original clip has never popped off or caused any problems. I have crossbreeds that are 7-8 years old and still going strong and I'm sure this one will be too. But if it does break I know crossbreed will stand behind their product.

With one belt clip, it tends to sink into my pants.
Nice holster and well designed except for the single belt clip. With the weight of a loaded Glock 19, the non-clipped side sinks into my pants. I need to re-adjust during the day or it will end up laying sideways in my drawers. I do have a nice heavy leather belt (1 1/2 “) that was designed for carry. It’s plenty stout and works with other holsters. This holster just doesn’t work right.

Good holster
You can cant the gun forward simply by pushing down the unsupported end, no need to play with the clips. The gun is still secure on your belt and close to your body. .

I really like Crossbreed holsters and have several for other guns
I really like Crossbreed holsters and have several for other guns. The previous ones have been the supertuck with 2 belt clips to support the weight and hold the gun in one position. I purchased this Crossbreed for my Glock 26 for appendix carry. I practice my draw frequently and find the gun handle to be in different positions because this holster only has one belt clip on the handle side. Other than that it is a typical well made secure Crossbreed holster.

Glock 19
I've only had this a week, but I loved it since the first time I've used it. I'll never go back to any other style holster. Hybrid holsters are the way to go.

Subjective v Objective causes split between 4 and 5. 5 wins!
Mine is for my SR9C and I bought it directly from CB. The holster molding is the best I have seen on any Kydex and retention is very dependable. That is true of the holster retaining the firearm and the holster's clip system retaining the holster within the waistband when the firearm is drawn. The build and materials are top-notch. I initially replaced the belt clip with an Ulticlip but found the original clip to be more convenient while also support/retaining holster. Appendix carry, which I prefer, is a little problematic with the larger SR9C due to lack of support at the leading edge of the holster. An LC9 or similar size firearm will probably be just right for this holster and can be carried at the 3:30-4 o'clock as well as appendix with this holster (although, if you just want appendix carry it would probably be better to get the Appendix Carry model that is made for the smaller handguns). I'm still considering having a leather worker attach a leather tab to the leading edge so I can screw on a V-clip or an Ulticlip to support the leading edge. The Freedom Carry is the perfect size for appendix carry of the SR9C (and similar sized pistols), unlike the SuperTuck, yet can also be used to carry at the 3:30-4 position. The loss of a 1/2 star was for the lack of support on the leading edge when using slightly over-sized pistols like the SR9C.Pre-posting change of mind: After experiencing the personal touch and quick responses from CB I've got to go with 5 stars. If I decide to do the alteration to add support to the leading edge, I'll post an update. You really can't go wrong with CB.
