I have not used this for an entire salad yet, but I have used it for various fruits and vegetables. I was able to quickly wash and cut a lot of strawberries for Strawberry Shortcake. It worked wonderfully. I was able to turn the colander part 90° without turning the fruit underneath with it, so that I could cut the berries both directions, and it didn't make a mess at all. Simple, effective. Just wish it were dishwasher safe!

We love our salads and this has made it so easy to make.. We wash, cut and wash again... The basket holds enough for two full salads...

Loved the idea of this salad cutter. Item was a bit smaller than anticipated, but I like it.Maybe a larger one for a 2 or 3 person/family salad should be produced next!

This is a fantastic product!! I love chopped salads and this gets the job done quickly and efficiently. Wish I would had invented it, now I can make a better and quicker chopped salad than Subways.

Love this! I just got it a few days again and I've already used it several times. I'm eating a bunch more salads now because it is so easy to prepare them with a variety of healthy veggies. Love it so much I'm burying a second one for my mom!Update: After over a month I still love this - as does my mom! I did find out that just turning the top 90 degrees doesn't really chop the veggies much more, as the slats are still lined up with the same slices from the first cuts. So what I do now is take the lid off, toss the veggies a bit with my hands, then do the second set of slices. Works great this way!

If I could rate this product a zero, I would--what an absolute waste of money. I didn't even bother requesting a refund--I just tossed it into the trash. I put chunks of lettuce in the bowl, slid a knife through each and every cut, and got NOTHING. I ended up having to chop the lettuce by hand. Tried some fruit, thinking it would work better--again, NOTHING. Don't waste your money!

Product didn’t work as I thought. However, I use it as a covered colonder. Very expensive for a colonder!!

I have no clue how this has such good reviews. It doesn't work! It'll chop maybe 20% of your items but I had giant pepper chunks and tomatoes that didn't get chopped at all, despite fussing with this contraption for 15 minutes.
