Bosma Aegis Smart Door Lock and Fingerprint Keypad Bundle

I'm guessing I twisted and turned the device on my own before installing and I probably should not have. Lesson learned: Don't play with it before installing! Bosma was kind enough to tell me to return and ask for a replacement and that is what I did.The second device arrived, and after having installed the first one with no luck, at least I now knew how to install it! But a simple thing happened to stop it! It was extremely humid that day and the provided tape simply didn't hold, and the tape gave way as I was trying to unscrew the bolts, th deadbolt fell out of the door! Warning: DO NOT INSTALL ON A HUMID DAY!I paired it with my Echo devices, and can ask any of them to lock/unlock the door. I love that! Plus, the Bosma or Alexa app lets me set up lock/unlock based on location, and that has worked well, too!The device itselt is huge! But I can eyeball it and know my door is locked which I didn't always know when I had the monochromatic thumb lock. Plus my phone would now tell me if the lock was blocked or the door was ajar. I do like having that level of security since I have left the door unlocked and/or ajar overnight! It happens!9/20 update: I added the keypad. It is what I imagined it would be. One finger touch and the door unlocks! This especially good if I'm just working in my yard and not "gone" waiting for auto-unlock.I'm happy about it except for one thing. Whether you choose to drill holes or simply use the tape to fix to a wall, neither one is more secure than the other because you can lift the device right off of the holder! I took this picture with it mounted next to my Ring doorbell, which is fixed, and cannot simply be lifted off. That is what I wish this pad was like. I'll live with it. Also, look at my pictures. The tiny little screw driver that you will need again when it comes time to replace batteries -- where am I going to keep it? Because if you don't, you won't be able to change batteries. While it is very good and easy to set up, I imagine maintaining it might not be so easy as the indoor unit will be.

The media could not be loaded.  I needed an upgraded smart lock since my old one no longer got updates and the app was left to languish I took a shot at this one for a really attractive price and the fact they have an ecosystem of products made me feel a little better about their future.It's a really solid smart lock for the price. Offers a little more than my old one and looks more statically modern than my older design lock.Installation was a little tricky for me since I couldn't get the damn thing to hook onto the door mount but then I realized I didn't have the locked turned the proper way. If you focus and pay attention it really isn't a hard install.Auto-unlock works, but like every other smart lock I've used it can be a little slow to respond, but it eventually gets there. This isn't any better or worse than others I've used so it's fine.I have lost wifi connection with the gateway a couple of times, I don't know why, but one time popping the batteries out fixed it, another time rebooting my router did the trick. Connection otherwise has been stable and hasn't let me down. I've had it for about 5 months and at this point I plan to keep it as long as it stays supported and viable.One thing I wish all these smart locks had was a schedule option so could set a time for auto-lock based on time and day of week. The would be great the couple others I've used haven't had it either. Either that or geo-fenced auto lock would be great as well.Either way, I'm happy with the lock and plan to keep and recommend you give it a shot if you're in the market for something like this. The price can't be beat for what you get.Sidebar nitpick: You'll see in my video how the logo isn't centered when you unlock the door. Annoys my OCD so I always center it after the fact. Can't help myself. There's a little play in my lock so there's just nothing I can do about it. Not sure it it'd be different on another door. Changes nothing about the functionality.

I like the ability to lock and unlock my door, using my cell phone. I also like being able to share a code for someone else to enter and exit. These are nice because they come with the gateway, so there is not an additional purchase requirement. From the outside, the door looks normal. I also like the alarm if the lock senses it is being tinkered with. The lock ties in nicely with Alexa also. You can use a GPS to automatically lock and unlock them when you leave or return. Or, Alexa can remind you if you leave without locking them.They are rather large, compared to a normal door knob. You can manually open and close them or press the button on the front.

This is a very handy door lock with the ability to unlock the door from your phone. Helpful when we are not home and someone needs to get in. The auto lock (after closing is also a nice feature. A couple of issues we have dealt with though include the Wifi connection not always being reliable and the need to re-calibrate the lock on ocassion.

This smart lock fulfilled all my requirements which I was expecting. Easy to install and calibrate with the help of Bosma app, key less entry and locking door mechanism with the help of gateway plug.I love Auto lock and unlock features. Solid construction and great looking smart lockOver all very easy to install. Great product 👍
