Not "Camp Socks"
I realize these are just named/branded with "Base Camp" in the name, but I found them when looking for socks I could wear around the house and did a search for "Camp Socks".So just in case others get here the same way, "Camp Socks" are generally extra thick, very dense, and many have silicone dots so they can be used like slippers. These socks are thin, not dense (air moves through them keeping feet cold), and do not feel soft on my feet. Maybe a couple of washes will fluff them up a little like our Alpaca blankets did, but I don't think there's enough material there to make a difference. These will probably just go to Goodwill -- I'm sticking with Merino Wool.

Still Love Warrior Alpaca
OK. I'm officially spoiled. Been going through and getting rid of any socks that aren't Alpaca or Warrior brand. Love these, just the right weight, and so comfy - keep my feet cool in the summer, and warm in the winter. The only gripe, on this particular pair - the Old School Ragg - I wish the tops had just a little more give or room in them. I've got big feet, and big calves to go with them; the shaft of these is just a bit tight, and when my legs swell, they cut in. Hate that. Hoping that wearing will get them to relax, but I renew my call to Warrior - please do more of your styles in bigger sizes!

soft and warm!
I have a few pairs of ragg wool socks and find that the thicker yarn used tends to bother my feet and legs after a while, especially when compressed against my skin by shoes or boots. These socks don't seem to do that at all! They're nice and warm and after several washings (I just toss them in with my other dark clothes and wash on cool or warm) they're holding up very well. They still feel like new after wearing them regularly for a month or so. I'll definitely be purchasing more in the future.

Great socks. Warm, soft, fit well.
These are many times better than wool. Warm but not overly. Breathe well. I have big feet and I’m on the upper end of the size range. These fit well and are not too tight or constricting. If you enjoy the outdoors, these are great. The alpaca is very soft, better than wool.

Comfortable but not as warm as hoped
After running a few searches I saw that these socks are voted the warmest socks on amazon. Therefore I had my expectations set pretty high. Although these sock are comfortable I find them to be about as warm as any pair of athletic socks, unfortunately they did not live up to the hype.

Best Sock Brand!
Gave these as a gift, and they're my mother-in-laws new favorite socks. I have purchased other pairs of this brand of alpaca socks for myself and my husband, and we also agree that Warrior Alpaca Socks from Inca Brand are the best!

Middle ground as far as warmth goes
Its a great sock. Its pretty warm. Its not quite warm enough to be a ski sock for me. I use them for every day winter work/home socks.

Good, but I wish less synthetic
They’re fairly comfortable, and nice and loose. I find many socks to be too tight in the cuff, but not these. The colours are great. I just wish they didn’t use as much nylon. I wish it were more alpaca or an alpaca-cotton blend instead of alpaca-nylon. Synthetics make them a bit sweaty.

Disappointing, I expected thicker, warmer and better reinforcement
These socks are disappointing, there’s no real reinforcement, not overly warm compared to my possum merino wool socks from a different company. They feel cheaply thin and definitely not worth the price.
