I made friends with a couple of Native Americans sisters at a local history center when I started doing research on my family tree. We were discussing different books and one of them had mentioned this book. She had wanted it a long time, but the price was out of her reach. I came into some money and bought it for her. She was beyond over-joyed. She loves it.

History and folklore of North Georgia
A most interesting read of stories handed down since 1835 of the plight of the Cherokee Indians along the Etowah River. Some true history and some unprovable tales, but very educational and a fun read

Cry of the Eagle
This book was a Father's Day gift for my husband and he couldn't have been more pleased! The book was everything the description said it was and more. I appreciated the honesty of the seller more than this review can state.

Finally!!! Can't believe this is back in stock!
It used to be that you couldn't even touch this book if you were lucky enough to find it back in the day.I can't believe that new copies are for sale. If you are interested in Cherokee legends, lore, and mysteries, then this is the book for you. Oh, and it also tells about the Cherokee gold and how they hid it. Perfect for the historian or treasure hunter!

The book is a gold mine
I bought this book from a drug store for about $6.50, when it first came out. Have been very lucky to have gotten a fold out map.(22 by 22). Have not heard about anyone else having one.I was wonder why? I was living in CHEROKEE co. for 20 years so I know ever thing about the book. That is where I went to high school. I wish I was living in CANTON again.

I LOVE THIS BOOK! Sorry. Just LOVE IT! I'm enjoying it right now, and don't want it to end. Hopefully, another volume will appear by the time I'm almost done.

No library of the American Indian is complete unless it has this book. I live where this happened, Cumming, Forsyth County, Georgia as well as the surrounding counties to the west and north. The Cherokee history runs deep and the stories told are fascinating. The Cherokee is long gone but the roots are still with us along with names of rivers, creeks and settlements in the county.
