I started purchasing this product because a friend referred it to us. My daughter was born a preemie and I noticed she would get very bad allergies when during allergy season. And it was almost every season. It would get so bad that I had to purchase a breathing machine to help her breathe. I took her to her pediatrician and was referred to an allergist which prescribed several medications including a steroid for one month. She never got sick but she was taking several meds and did gain a little weight from the steroid. I didn’t want to keep her on so many meds all the time so when a friend told me about horehound I immediately purchased it. I noticed the difference right away. I was shocked because before giving her horehound I had taken her to a pulmonologist but he couldn’t find anything wrong with her. Her pediatrician said she had asthma bc she was born a preemie. But I couldn’t accept this and I felt like I needed to keep trying to find a remedy for her. She was sick quite often but once I gave her horehound with a little juice 3 times a day I saw that she was getting better. It does work. But you have to give it to your child right when you hear a cough or sneeze or they complain about not feeling good. Because if you wait it may or may not work. A couple of times I waited bc I ran out and had to order more. When I did receive it and give to her I noticed she would get worse and it would develop into fever, an infection , ear infection etc. which was my fault so I learned to listen for her cough or sneeze or weather. Follow the directions give it with a little juice bc it doesn’t taste very good so they can drink it with no complaints.

I love this product! Nothing works better to help my daughter's cough when she is sick. I always keep this product on hand. It especially helps tame her cough at night so she can sleep. It also helps her cough go away quicker. I ran out around Christmas time when she was sick and until I started giving her this product again her cough remained and made her miserable. I cannot live without this product! My daughter doesn't care for the taste but I mix it with some juice to mask it. Works better than any cough medicine I have ever tried. I have been giving this product to her (my 4 and 1/2 year old) for the past year as needed when she gets a cough. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I use this whenever my asthma starts to come around. Used to I would need to take a round of prednisone to get over my lung issues after a cold...wish I had discovered this years ago!I do not know if horehound helps the asthma that constricts the lungs, but it sure works for the asthma from inflammation. And better yet, it works on symptoms practically instantly, no waiting several days for the predinsone to do its thing.I also give it to my kids when they get a cough cold, and it keeps that nasty cough down and heals it up fast.Add some prophylactic  Claeys Sanded Horehound Candy Drops ~ 2 Lbs ~ Old Fashioned Flavor  into the picture and life is good.

Both my kids have virus induced asthma. The only time they get wheezy is when they are sick with colds. Usually in the winter I have to give them inhaled steriods to help prevent the asthma but they usually end up on albuterol anyway. I have slacked off on the Flovent for the last two months partly from being busy and forgetting and partly because I was curious if this would help. So both kids got sick this week and with the help of the Horehound blend (or perhaps they are finally outgrowing the asthma) both made it through their colds without wheezing! One is 5 and one is 2.5 yrs old.

This stuff is great for respiratory issues. Whenever my little guy is starting to get sick with a cold or cough I start giving this to him and it always clears up. I always pair it with the Herbs for Kids Echinacea as well. The Echinacea is my go to stuff for EVERYTHING. I only use the horehound for respiratory issues. It is great stuff and a definite for any parent who wants to keep an Herbal arsenal against all things nasty.

This has helped my son’s cough greatly and I recommend it. For the amount he needed though, I wish the bottle had been bigger. I will already have to order more.

When my son gets a virus, he coughs all night long. I have really noticed a difference when I give this to him. I always make sure I have some on hand.
