I hate hats. They never look good on me and are always way too big. I have a very small head (20 5/8 in.) and most hats just swallow me..even with adjustments. I also have a short neck and short hair!What attracted me to this hat is the adjustable cord and the smaller brim. I can wear the hat a bit back on my head and it is nicely secured.. the brim covers my eyes and ears and is tapered so that the back brim does not brush the back of my neck. So I will have to make sure I put sunscreen on my neck...but better than throwing my neck out of alignment ! This hat is very light and comfortable, does not impinge my visibility, and so far has stayed put walking on a breezy day...I have not tested it on a boat or very stiff winds yet..but so far this hat has exceeded my expectations! I probably will order another color...wish they had a navy..

I purchased this hat for protection while mowing our nearly three acre yard. It seems to be well-made and a good value for the price which, of course, has been reduced significantly in the week since I bought the hat.However, the product info stated that the hat was "one size" and fits most head sizes. I have an average sized head but this hat will not, even with the drawstring pulled as tightly as it will go, stay on my head. The slightest breeze will cause it to go sailing across the yard, making it worthless for its intended use.

I purchased this hat to use on a seventeen mile bike ride. I did not want my scalp to get burned, and I also didn't want to rub greasy sunscreen on top of my head and in my hair. This hat did the trick, protecting not only the top of my head, but also my ears and part of my face. The size of the brim was perfect for protection without obstructing my view of the mountain scenery. I was also concerned that a hat might blow off as we cruised downhill pretty quickly at some points. The adjustable toggle in the back allowed me to get a comfortable, yet snug, fit. Overall, I am very happy with my purchase. The hat is well-made and practical.

the only reason i give this 4 stars is the size...I have a very small head and most often find myself buying hats in children's sizes...but this is a tad tight even for me...I am going to keep it with the hope the fabric will stretch over time. In the meantime I wear it a little higher on my head but overall the quality is very impressive!

Love the look and fit of this hat -- breathable cotton fabric, adjusts to fit my head without blowing off; easy to fold into a pocket or tote; and it has just enough brim to keep the sun out of my eyes without looking as though I'm on my way to the beach. The short back doesn't give much neck protection, but adds to the comfort (and I have long hair so it works for me). I would have given it five stars except for the elastic cord and toggle on the back. It's black, and looks silly bobbing against the white hat. Fortunately, it's at the back of my head so I don't have to look at it, but couldn't the mftr. have found a matching cord?

I'm a little lady so I have a small head. I was able to get a perfect fit with this adjustable band sun hat. I keep it by the door to shield my eyes on walks. I have macular degeneration so I want more protection from the bright southern sun than just sunglasses. Plus, this hat is really cute!

This hat has a large brim for protection from the sun. It folds in half for packing. And it can be hand washed. I took it on a beach vacation and used it every day. It even fell into the ocean, but I was able to wash it by hand and it came out just fine. I'm sure I'll get a lot of use out of it during the summer.

I love that the brim goes all the way around. I also love the drawstring so it fits perfectly. I am very light sensitive and never go out without a hat and sunglasses. Much better than a bill cap. And my hair still looks good!
