Have you ever wondered how really good cafe made hummus can be so smooth yet have all the flavor of the hummus you made at home has? This powder is the secret! It also made a great spread similar to peanut butter and I put it in smooths for added protein and flavor... but smooth, creamy hummus is what I wanted to try and it works, it is amazing and you add the same ingredients - just use 1 cup of this powder to approx approx 2 1/2 cups of boiling water, turn the water down to a simmer and stir it with a whisk for approx 10 minutes, until all the water is absorbed, if it's too thick add a lil more water by the tablespoon full til you get the thickness you like - you will think it's too much water, but it's not, just keep whisking (use the balloon whisk stand mixer if you need too). Then just make your hummus as usual - try it, you'll love it!

I had never had this before...but I will buy more!
I am waiting for my second package to arrive today and it is twice the size. So, I like it a lot. I am fairly new to cooking with "other" flours and some can be tricky but this is my favorite. I use it to make peanut butter cookies which are absolutely divine! My goal was to eat better and cut down on carbs and other bad stuff. This is helping me do that. I absolutely love this flour and if you are worried about taste, don't be. I have never eaten chickpeas and am fairly certain that I would not like them if I did. So don't be afraid, I have made lots of things with this flour so far and been very happy with results.
