Great for flight recording
Just used this for some in-flight recording. Quality was great and much more reasonably priced than some of the other options. Note that it doesn't work on newer USB-C models of the GoPro (hopefully they will come up with a version that does soon). But for recording to other devices, it works great.

Worked great.
I use this to shoot with audio in multiple aircraft. Audio was good quality and accurately recorded my mike and headsets.

Excellent service. Went way beyond the proverbial "extra mile"
I purchased this cable to record my flights on a GoPro 4 and a Garmin Virb Ultra 30 Garmin VIRB Ultra 30 Action Camera  while keeping both powered externally. But I like the Virb more, because it captures technical stats about my flight, which GoPro 4 does not.Long story short, the cable did not capture audio on the Virb Ultra 30 in spite of trying out multiple adapters and combinations.Even tried a cable Nflightcam Digital Aircraft Audio Recording Cable  sold by competitor NFlightCam.I suspect the fault for not being able to record audio lies with the Virb Ultra 30 rather than the cables.Anyway, here is where I was provided service by Laminar Concepts that went over and beyond than what they are supposed to provide. On both (NFlightCam and Laminar Concepts) cables' QnA sections,I asked if the cable would work with the Virb Ultra 30.NFlightCam responded with a simple "No, It will not".Laminar concepts though, went the extra mile, probed for details and eventually mailed me a custom prototype cable to try with a Virb Ultra 30. And this was at no extra cost.I have not tried the custom prototype cable on a flight yet but this review is not about the product. It's about about the classy service by Laminar Concepts.Successful businesses provide customers with product/service that slightly exceeds the price paid by the customer.Laminar Concepts certainly went over and beyond than "slightly exceed".As far as the cable is concerned, I would have liked the power source cable to be long enough to reach the floor of the aircraft.Currently it dangles from the avionic ports and if you have a bit of a loose connection with your charging cable, the charging cable falls out during flight.

It works but not compatible with top of the range power bank
I bought this cable after another brand was not working for me. The sounds from ATC and cockpit communications is being recorder with good quality, however when plugging a power bank to charge the GoPro as intended, a background noise appears and ruins the audio. After reading reviews, I decided to buy a top of the range power bank from Anker, and when I tested it with brand new power bank, the sharp background noise appeared again. I don't know if my cable is defective or if that's the case for everybody but as far as I'm concerned the cable only allows for recording but will not work for charging the GoPro while recording (without getting unusable audio).

Great for GoPro and Planes
I bought this a gift for my dad that is a pilot and he loves it! He is able to record all the communications and the video at the same time. It works perfect!

Worked perfectly with my Gopro hero 4 black....until...
Works perfect with my Gopro hero 4 black, Lightspeed Zulu 3 headsets (instructor uses DC headsets) in a Cessna 152.Update 1/14/18: So this review comes after having purchased these cables twice. The first time around, one day after flying and as I went to disconnect it from the GoPro, I realized that the male end of the cable that connects directly to the GoPro was still connected to the GoPro but the surrounding wire itself had been warped or bent down, as if someone had attempted to press down on the cable while connected to the GoPro. I thought it was very strange considering that no one but me was in the plane and I'm always sure to stow this away properly when done with it, protecting the ends. I attributed it to something I must of done unknowingly. But in the back of my mind I wondered if perhaps the small power bank I use to power the go pro was somehow giving too much power and maybe overheated the male end, causing the plastic to melt. But I really didn't think that was plausible because I've used the power bank to charge my GoPro on other occasions outside of the aircraft with regular cables. So thinking it was my fault, I went and bought a new pair of the same exact cables. I've had them now for several weeks using them at least ten times for perhaps 1.5 hrs each time. And after todays flight when I went to unplug the cable I realized that the same exact thing that occurred with the first set of cables, occurred with these. I immediately touched the male end connector to see if was hot, which it was not. What I now have come to believe is that the weight of the cable itself (which hangs from the top bulkhead of the cockpit where I have the GoPro mounted) slowly over time caused the male end to dislodge from the cable itself. In other words, picture the cable hanging from the GoPro and the stress of the weight of the cable over time is probably equivalent to someone pulling on the cable from below. In the end I've come to a personal conclusion that the type of cable they use is inferior quality, much like some knock off phone charger cables that start to warp after some time. It was a real disappointment because I ended up buying these cables twice. But definitely not a third time. The attached picture is one that I took after I tried straightening out the male end to try and align it (In the end I actually made it worse), so it didn't initially look quite as bad as shown here, but bad enough to where I found that none of the audio/video from flight had been recorded. Now to find a 10ft cord from someone else. Very disappointing.

Far and away the best customer team service I've ever dealt with.
Here's how good these guys/girls are...I bought one this cable, and at first, it seemed to work fine, until I realized the charging feature did not work. No questions asked, they sent me a replacement, and said, "Just keep the old one, no need to hassle with returning." New replacement worked perfect, but i realized that the 3.5mm plug input, while working perfect on my Iphone, as designed, did not work with my Canon Vixia video camera, which required a 3.5mm powered jack. So I send them a note thanking them for the replacement, and asking if they've thought about adding that feature - a powered 3.5mm jack for some digital video cameras that require that to record sound, like my Vixia. What do they do? They make u a special cable, test it, and send it to me for free! I can't think of any reason to buy a cockpit cable from anyone else.

Amazing audio quality
I've been using this cable for a few flights now, and I can't really find any faults with the recording quality! I've been recording on a Piper Warrior to my phone's audio/voice recorder app. I use the powerbank below, which is very quiet and has a huge capacity. However, this whole setup does come a bit bulky and messy when setting it up preflight.Overall, I'm very pleased and would highly recommend the flitecordr 10ft.The power bank I use:Wireless Power Bank 30800mAh, Trswyop 15W Wireless Charging 25W PD QC4.0 Fast Charging LCD Display USB C Portable Charger Compatible with iPhone 13/13pro/12 Samsung S20 Xiaomi Tablet etc[2021 Version] https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B09F9RY2Y2/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_fabc_6P5SJJX17W1KC48Q4NPT

Works great for cockpit comms recordings
Used with a Samsung S20 Ultra. Able to clearly record all the cockpit audio conversations with my instructor as well as ATC comms. Great for playing back lessons to use for later revision. I originally bought the 5 feet version which was fine when the recording device was placed in the window directly behind or in front. However, when trying to record from the opposite (diagonal) window in the back it isn't long enough. The 10 feet version splves that problem.
