Heavy duty
Very solid construction and well made. The measurement stop is completely removable for when you just need the ruler also.

Surprisingly handy and versatile.
Accurate measuring and marking is critical to fine woodwork; and there is no shortage of doodads that represent themselves as "new and improved". This ruler is clearly marked with a slide that locks in place accurately. Although no substitute for a square in scribing long perpendicular lines, it is accurate enough for short ones; and it is excellent for marking lines along the length of a work-piece; and much easier to adjust and to use than a tri-square. The slide is easily secured by two knurled set-screws. The white markings on the black ruler are very easy to read. This has quickly become my go-to shop ruler.

Yes, they work fine!
So I bought these to compare to my Woodpecker Paolini Pocket rulers. They are virtually the same, they work in the same way, they lock down the same way and they are accurate. My only issue is they are made out of aluminum, like the Woodpecker ones. I got rid of my aluminum woodpecker ones and gave these ones away too, because of the aluminum. If you drop them, the aluminum will dent and also, the thickness of the aluminum does have the tendency to cause some parallax, when marking the exact measurement.I do own the Woodpeckers stainless steel version and I use it regularly and Im glad I have it. I only bought the 6" one in the stainless steel, as I use that one the most, when I tried out the aluminum ones, but I'd consider purchasing the 12" one also. If the ones from this maker were stainless steel, I'd buy them, but they don't.The stainless doesn't dent, stays clean and is accurate, especially as there is no parallax issues because of the thin, flat stainless steel blade. Great tool, I'd buy only the stainless though and I don't believe this maker has that available....

Great tool
I bought this for building architectural models. High quality construction, easy to use and stays in place once adjusted. This has become one of my favorite tools and I use it all the time for layout, marking and cutting materials. I got the small one but definitely going to get the larger one too. Wood and metal workers will love it as it really speeds things up. Good value, high quality and great design, what's not to like?

My go to
Use this all the time to mark straight lines on wood. I do wish the base was a little wider so that it could slide easier.

Great addition to my workshop
Excellent quality. Makes marking up so much easier than when I was using a multi square. Solid accurate adjustments, easy to read, notch in end for pencil is a nice touch.

Affordable copies of Woodpeckers Paolini Rules. Ruler itself is thick (1/8")
*Edit Aug 6, 2023:Adding a star since I understand these rules a bit better. I'm familiar and own Woodpecker tools but I guessed I missed that these are a direct copy of Woodpecker's Paolini rules. So one can research those rules and understand their purpose. These appear to be a very close duplicate of those. And these do have their uses, including being stable, adjustable scribing tools, where they hold a mechanical pencil really well. I put these to use as depth marking gauges and scribe gauges while building some doors. They were a welcome addition to my assortment of combination squares where the more the merrier when I need to keep a limited array of combination squares locked in at a specific measurement for repeat markings and depths. The lightweight and smooth gliding nature are also pleasant to use. So I do recommend these, especially as scribing tools, but 4 stars since they are a blatant knock off of someone else's design (though at a great price).---Original review:The title says it. These are the thickest rules I've ever used and it's a shame since they ARE dead accurate: both the markings and the ability to register a true 90 degrees from the sliding stop. So these definitely have their use, especially for the price. For me, they'll serve as decent depth gauges when needing multiple and repeatable measurements (something I use my sliding squares for; having extras are welcome). These are also not forever tools with the marking being painted on and not etched (with paint inside the etchings). With regular use, I can't imagine these markings would last. But it'll be fine as a secondary light duty tool. This is definitely not a Woodpeckers level tool. But it is accurate. It's just a little hard to register your marks with total precision with the rules themselves being so thick and elevated from the work piece.
