We loved this book, although we did not know it was a chapter book. My child is not there yet but she enjoyed me reading it to her.

Cute book.

Because my daughter liked a previous book. I decided to another one to add to her collection. She enjoys reading about Lulu.

Our 7 year old loves the Lulu series--animals, adventures, and not too sassy.

I had not read other books in the series of Lulu chapter books, but I will say that this one was a fun read for anyone who is an animal lover. You get to step into a journey with Lulu, a memorable character who loves animals. In this book Lulu tries to smuggle in a new animal and this leads to some smile making moments throughout the entire story. The book is funny, lighthearted and a great read for young readers. Filled with nicely drawn illustrations, the story is one that will draw you in and hold you until the end! My daughters seemed to truly relate to what was happening and have now asked me to find more Lulu books for them to read!*I received a copy for review - all opinions are my own*

My daughter and I are real fans of Hilary McKay. She always makes us laugh out loud with her observations about family life. Lulu, who will always find a home for a stray animal (in this case a cat), Mellie, who will support her cousin/best friend in any crisis (in this case the sudden appearance of a cat while Nan is staying) and Nan, who adores her granddaughters (even if she is not keen on all Lulu's many animal friends). We bought Lulu books for all our friend's this Christmas.

I have read aloud the entire Lulu series of 6 books to my 4.5 year old and he has lapped them up. we read one chapter a night and the plots were fabulous the charachters lovable and believable. we enjoyed these!

My children (5 and 7) both love the Lulu stories as do I!
