Good product for digitizing negatives and slides
This item works very well. It is of better quality than I expected. The negative and slide holders are solid. The light is even and substantial. The different lens attachments seem pretty extensive. I only needed one setup, and everything works great.

It’s is a great product at a reasonable price
This product allows me to use my existing Nikon 105mm macro lens along with my Nikon D850 camera to digitize my photo negatives. This setup is at a fraction of the cost of what I would have to pay for the Nikon setup. If I had chosen to use the Nikon setup it would involve purchasing a new 60mm macro lens plus the ES-2 adapter. As far as I know the 105mm macro lens is not compatible with the ES-2 adapter. It’s takes a little fiddling around to align the camera lens with the device in order to get an evenly focused image from the photo negative. However, once the camera is aligned with the device the results are excellent. It would be nice if the designer could make an adapter that would allow the device to mount directly on to the lens hood of the 105mm macro lens. This would prevent the fiddling around needed to align the camera the lens with the device, each time I load a new photo negative strip. A solution to this issue would make this a 5 star product. I purchased it a couple days ago and I love it so far. I would strongly recommend it.

Great 35mm Digitizing Unit
Economical solution for scanning B&W 35mm film. Using it with Nikon D610 and Nikon 60mm macro. Gives a steady and precise solution that does not rotate frame or move frames forward and backward. Adapters are made in metal. Comes with adjustable LED light. Much faster to digitize with than flatbed scanner. Using zoom function on D610 makes it easy to do manual focus.

Fine overall, some components unuseable
Overall a very useful rig, film carriers are very secure and effective and the frame is sturdy and well designed.however it is very low quality in several areas, the led panel is not properly diffused and presents very uneven lighting with bright spots and visible led points, not suitable for accurate scans so another solution will need to be retrofitted onto it to be useable.Plexiglass in the film carrier is very easily prone to scratches, created some gouges just by using a microfiber cloth to clean the dust stuck to it from the packageNot worth it for the price with the unit I recieved, but can be modified to work properly with some effort

It's (was) pretty good
Update: One week after I purchased this I went to go use it again and the MicroUSB input on the light broke and fell inside with a very simple re-plug of the usb cord to use it again. I would not be able to fix this on my own without taking apart the entire device. Build quality is plastic but this is cheap crap parts. Super disappointed since it worked very well. Returning asap.---I hit a wall with my epson v600 trying to scan 35mm and spent too much time on researching how to get better results. I knew dslr scanning is the way but the investment, especially after already having the scanner, seemed like a lot of fussiness with copy stands and alignment... and unnecessary. Then I came across this product, seeing it much cheaper than the Nikon version. In minutes, I ordered this with the TTArtisans 40mm macro for the FujiX mount. For the price of these two items, I am pretty sure I can sell the epson and break even. After using it to digitize about 3 rolls of film, I have decided that this is definitely a keeper, and it works well enough with the TTArtisen lens. The speed of digitizing a roll is amazing compared to the other options I have. But I do have some hesitations.1. There are a lot of little parts... the cord for the light, the film holder, the little snappy thing for the light source to sit up against the negative, the tubes, etc. With all of these little parts I am worried if I lose or break one thing, the whole unit may end up being useless.2. This a ton of plastic and sometimes not perfectly aligned. This unit, while portable, might not be my favorite for travel because some parts of the product seem flimsy, especially the film holder. If I accidentally sat on it on the couch or something it would definitely snap in half. This thing totally works though. It is a step up from the epson and the output is genuinely on par with the Coolscan. Except the Coolscan doesn't handle black and white well, and this does. However, because of the notes above, I have been thinking about returning this and getting the Valoi Easy35 which is twice the price for what will most likely be no noticeable improvement in image quality, but the unit itself seems to be more contained and relies on charging vs needing to be plugged into power. We'll see, this thing does work just fine.I do shoot medium format, so I am not ready to sell the Epson yet. But now that I finally caved and got a macro lens, I am going to try to make a homemade 120mm negative carrier that can be lit by an iPad and see how that does. If I can get that to work, then the Epson and Coolscan will definitely be sold, leaving me with much more time, desk space, and better negative scans.
