Pinball Arcade Season 2 (PS4) (UK IMPORT) by Nioxin

I grew up playing pinball in the 70's.Its fun and easy too play.

This and Season 1 are the only ways you can play some great tables. Some of the overlapping Zen tables have better nudge mechanics here so I prefer them. I think the leaderboards work globally if you’re in the States, but I’m not sure because I’m a loser at pinballs and I already know my ranking will be embarrassing so I’m not going to check

Let me get the necessary out of the way. The seller shipped me exactly what I ordered. The package was in pristine condition, and was factory sealed as described on the website. Everything I write in this review has nothing to do with the seller or the package that was shipped to me how it was shipped or the likes. Now that that’s out of the way….This is by far the worst piece of software that I’ve purchased in 20+ years!!!! This software is pure garbage!!!T ell you Why I bought this waste?!?!?!? Recently (Nov. 2022) the “Arcade Expo” stopped through Houston, Texas (Fact Check me.) I drove down thinking that I was going to see and play a bunch of old school “Arcade Games”. Games like The Simpson (which was there), Ninja Turtles, Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, Tekkn, After Burner, Cruisin’ (which was there) ect. To my disappointment the “Arcade Expo” was mostly Pinball games. (Fact Check me). Since the games that I was looking for weren’t present at the expo, I found myself trying to be entertained by Pinball and the 100’s of machines that they had there. 1 of the owners brought 2 Terminator 2: Judgement Day Pinball machines to the expo. One was fully updated and restored with LED lights, bumpers, ect. The other with original parts not restored. (Fact check me). I spent majority of my time playing Terminator 2: Judgement Day Pinball. T2 Pinball is THE ONLY reason I bought this Trash. I gave this long seque of seemingly unrelated history to get to …R ubbish from a R eally bad system. After recently spending pretty much a solid 8 hours with the actual Pinball machines; I can honestly say that this emulation is REALLY BAD. I see all the flaws, from the unrealistic physics to the outright impossible situations in this software distributed by FarSight Studios. Too many times I have seen the pinball get stuck on the left bump randomly. Too many times I have seen the ball take the exact same paths for Ball 1 and Ball 3. Too many times I’ve seen the ball get stuck and I use the “Call Attendant” feature in the game… and the game comes back with “the ball is not stuck”. Too many times has the game frozen on me, by just asking it to reset/start over via the IN GAME MENU. FarSight Studios couldn’t even deliver a consistent in game menu that would allow you to reset the game without the game freezing! My game is frozen as of writing this which inspired me to come in and finish this review. I think they call it System 3? So, FarSight Studios had the 2 previous opportunities to get this right and failed miserably. I would like to address a review that I read before buying this about this physical copy needing an online connection to be played. That is not true. What I did find is that I was able to launch the game before any updates. I’m assuming without the updates it is “System 2”? System 2 seemed to work a lot better (as I’ve gone back and deleted the updates numerous times). I have seen the ball disappear frequently on the Non-updated version of the game (I’m just going to call it System 2). System 3 seems to be the more stable yet most unrealistic version of pinball presented in this game. System 2 seems to be the most unstable yet most pinball realistic version of the game. I was able to score very high scores on system 2, yet can’t seemingly break 6 figures with System 3.A bsolute Junk!!! Arcade pinball from FarSight Studios seems only like a cash grab for them. The pure FACT that I had to purchase this IMPORT is asinine at best!!! FarSight studios has gone out of their way to bury the T2 Pinball machine in a ocean of hard to get sales and get your money the best way they know how. T2 is lost in the fray with tables that have little to no relation to any of the other tables presented in this Season 2 debacle presented by the FarSight Studios team. I mean honestly, who thinks that Terminator Goes well with the likes of “Going Nuts”, “White Water”, “Central Park” or “Whirlwind”? FarSight Studios went out of their way to stick decent tables in the fray with Trash Tables in order to get you to buy the package as a whole.S omething S TINKS!!! Oh, it’s the heap pile that is presented with this packageThe ONLY way you can get the T2 table on this system is to import the physical copy of this game which has placed me in a whole differen’t set of issues having to carry the disc back and forth between my house and my ladies house when I want to pick the game up. You can NO LONGER BUY Season 2 in the U.S. digitally or physically. How did this happen?H opefully you avoid this steaming pile of debris at all costs. I wouldn’t recommend this package to ANYONE. If you have the forewithall to be able to find this package and consider buying it, you have the forewithall to consider other options for playing your favorite tables. I will strongly suggest emulation of these tables over giving FarSight Studios any more money towards this debacle they created. This is by far the worst piece of software I’ve purchased in over 20 years of playing video games. Thanks FarSight for holding the record for delivering bad products.

What's not to love about a room full of pinball machines on one tiny disc!!

This is just a bunch of 2 tier pinball,with 1 from the original#1 thrown in to make up for the garbage.Their are soon many machines from these eras they missed,.Try Harder.

The season 2 disc is amazing and has some great pins that can’t be purchased any other way. Examples being Centaur, Firepower, Pin•Bot, Cactus Canyon and Terminator 2. I would recommend season 2 of Pinball Arcade to anyone who loves pinball.

Was so excited for this to come in. I wasted my money. Don't waste yours. This is a POS of a game to buy...own...playZero recommendation
