Last much longer than gum bands, and are stronger but less elastic
These bands are terrific aside from the drawback inherent in this kind of rubber, which stretches less than the classic gum rubber bands. But these do not rot and die in a few months; I now rely on them for all sorts of things.

Perfect for robotics!
My child participates in VEX robotics and needed quality rubber bands for their robot. We chose these because they were black in color and matched their team colors. The kids said these were the best quality, did not break, kept their elasticity and lasted much longer than standard rubber bands. Other teams at the school were bargaining to have some. Definitely recommend for any project as they are high quality and will last longer than expected.

It last longer on items without degrading
It last longer on items without degrading, Compared to regular tan "rubber" bands. Worth their money as you don't need to replace them as often.

UV resistance is a joke
When 15 year-old standard rubber bands were used to tidy up the loose tails of some awning support cords in a sun-exposed location, all the rubber bands broke and fell off after about two weeks. That led us to order these black "UV-resistant" rubber bands from Amazon. They've been in the sun for just over a month, and three of them have broken and fallen off. I suspect they are not UV resistant at all. They most likely lasted a little longer because they are new rather than 15 years old. On the other hand, the black might be considered nicer looking, and they are not that expensive. So buy them for the color if you want, but don't believe the UV nonsense.
