Amazing knife
Comes with a great edge, holds it well. Have only needed to use a steel to keep it razor sharp. Can trim meat in minutes with it, love the handle too very ergonomic.

Half a year in and still doing a good job
Bought this six months ago for leas than a fiver and it has been a fantastic buy ...I've not even felt the need to resharpen it yet — beyond the initial fine, mild sharpen I gave it out of the box.I often buy full beef rumps — which works out a good bit cheaper than buying sliced steaks — and this little knife has been ideal for cutting though silver skin and segmenting the rump into its different cuts. The knife has also been very useful for quartering whole chickens. FYI The colder and drier your meat is, the easier this blade is to use.The decently grippy handle has decent ergonomics and feels secure in your hand ...and it's certainly not slippy like many of the monumentally overpriced, fancy, wood-handled knives that my friends an family use.Despite trying not to, I've even put this through the dishwasher a dozen times and it has come out unscathed, without any signs of corrosion on the blade or damage to the handle.

Superb
These butchers knives are super value, super sharp and great knives. Really came into their own when butchering deer.

Quality knife
Decent quality knife, sharp as hell. One word of advice, get yourselves a decent sharpener for when it looses its sharpness, this knife cuts through meat like it's a tomato.

Comfortable and affordable meat preparation knife.
Love the handle and the blade takes an edge really easily. It’s not going to last forever but it’s going to pay for itself many times over.Nice also to be able to leave it submerged in water without worrying like I do with my wooden handled knives.I’ll buy more Starrett knives as they are just so damn comfortable to use, and cheap!
