1979 Alien Reproduction Figure
Great vintage looking Alien figure, based off of the 1979 Kenner designs for an action figure line that never happened. Perfect for collector's, very reasonably priced. Unfortunately the head on mine doesn't really glow, maybe it needs sunlight exposure?

Retro Alien rocks!
I'd been waiting for a long time to swing this figure. It accurately depicts the alien from the original movie, not the later incarnations of the franchise. A sliding switch on its head shoots out the inner jaws. It is to scale with the other human figures in the Alien Funko ReAction line, so even though it's in the 3.75" scale, it stands closer to 4.25".This made a find addition to my Funko ReAction collection, and I am very pleased with the quality and sculpt of the figure, as well as the paint job. Keep it up, Funko!

34 Years Later...
In 1979 I was 11, dashing off to my local toy shop with my saved up twenty bucks to buy the first Kenner 18" Alien figure. Plunked down my cash and sprinted home, the rain just beginning to mist...I couldn't even wait to get home, but stopped to open the top of the box to see that smokey tinged plastic dome over the glow-in-the dark head, touch that amazingly detailed toy with my own hands. I'd been drooling over early photos of it in FANGORIA magazine for the last couple of months and was smitten!Three and a half decades later, that same exact Kenner Alien is sitting in my display case, maybe older, showing signs of being played with (not telling how recently) and missing the dome but still every bit as cool.I'm reminded that there was some disappointment over how no large size Ripley or Dallas or Kane ever surfaced to accompany the Big Alien figure. Instead, it battled my Six Million Dollar Man and other figures of roughly similar height... And it never occurred to me that there was a whole lineup of Star Wars sized figures that didn't make the cut until decades later and pics of the toy show mockups or prototypes surfaced. I've been pining for these Kenner Alien mini figures since I heard the story. Now they're a reality - Exactly as they appeared in those rare old photos of prototypes. And why does a small figure that lacks the kind of detail and articulation of newer toys impress so? It's probably a combination of the vintage Kenner Alien toy logo, classic blister package and the sheer awesomeness that is seeing these things in production after assuming it to be a very long, very lost cause many years ago. They also just exude the kind of toy coolness you got from products of the era. It's impossible to quantify, and I won't even try.My sole complaint is that it appears something went wrong during production, and the head doesn't glow as the big version did and as the back of the package claims. A little disappointing, but it doesn't keep me from wanting to get all these figures, not only in the black packaging but the more limited blue (which is more evocative of the early Kenner Alien toys, like the Movie Viewer and Board Game).Thank you, Super-7/Funko/ReAction. You folks made a very old dream come true for of us that lusted after more Kenner Alien figures. It's like we were those impressionable kids again, freaking out over the 1979 movie and all the awesome stuff that came out with it!

and it's cool to see Funko is continuing it with characters that ...
Bought him just because he has an "ah cha cha" grin on his face. These figures are neat little throw-backs to the Kenner Alien line that never was, and it's cool to see Funko is continuing it with characters that weren't even designed... I'm glad I got the Alien. He actually parked himself in my Star Wars Cantina and is having himself a cold beverage with Snaggletooth. He's not going to impress a toy collector looking for hyper detail and articulation, but that's not his point either. He's to be a throwback retro figure to the late 70's/early 80's toy lines. He fits in with all those "simpler" lines like the original Star Wars line, and looks like he's smiling to boot. Fun stuff.

In space no one can hear you scream

Fantastic figure. Worth the wait
Fantastic figure. Great detail and exactly how it should have been 20 years ago. I also bought the Kane figure from toy zany when it was cheap but they say they don't have any in stock even though they continue to advertise them online. Great figure but disappointing shop that don't want to sell their toys when bought cheap.

Figura sencilla pera decoración y colección
Para decoración y colección, sencilla pero con el toque vintage tanto de la figura como del empaque luce muy bien.
