Cool gadget... Literally 😁!!
This thing is amazing. It looks like a watch, so it's very discreet. But it's quite effective at relieving hot spells. I don't know how well it works at keeping you warm because it's the middle of summer and I haven't had the chance to try out it's warming capabilities yet. I will say that it feels quite hot on my wrist on the lowest setting because I activated the heating mode by accident when I first wore it. I'll try to update my experience with this during winter use. My wife brought the EMBR Wave hone one day; she borrowed it from a coworker. She told me what it does and I was very skeptical. But she enthusiastically claimed that it kept away her hot flashes (lately she's always warm and sweating), and that she was also calm. We both also suffer from night sweats and often have difficulty sleeping, even with the air conditioner on. But since we got the EMBR Wave 2 we've both been sleeping comfortably at night. I first thought that this was only for women. But after wearing the first generation Wave and experiencing how well it worked for me, we both ordered 2 units; one for each of us. Prime had an estimated 3 day delivery, but we opted for the free 2 day delivery from the seller. And to our surprise these arrived the next day. We ordered them on Wednesday afternoon and received both units Thursday afternoon. Wow! Kudos to the seller. The EMBR Wave 2 is very easy to wear and to take off. The band is a fine mesh metal band with a strong magnet to hold it in place. The side with the square ceramic tile goes on your skin, and it's recommended to have the buttons facing your elbow. But I face the buttons toward my fingers instead because I can see the tiny L.E.D. light much easier this way and it doesn't affect the unit's effectiveness. The button with the white dot is for cold and the other button is for heat. Press the dotted button twice to activate the cooling effect and keep tapping to increase cooling level. The same procedure is done on the other button for heat. There are 5 temperature levels. Blue light indicates cold, red is for heat, and white means your EMBR has been activated. The Wave 2 lasts about 2 days of constant use for us and it takes about 2 hours to fully charge. A magnetic charging disc and USB C cable comes with the device. Two POGO pins magnetically attach to gold contacts on back of the Wave 2. There are only a few negatives I can say about the Wave 2. The first is that it uses a charging disc with a removable USB C cable. This is another piece of equipment I really don't want to carry or have it break on me. The original Wave only used a micro USB cable to plug in the back. I wish the Wave 2 used only a USB C cable to charge. Next, the band, although nice, is not removable. That means you can't change it to your favorite watch band. Some people may have allergies to the metal in this band. Next, the design change really doesn't do it for me. It seems that the Wave 2 cooling/heating surface is smaller than the Wave's. I also prefer the large L.E.D. bar on the Wave. The Wave 2 buttons and light are tiny. I really like the light bar on the original Wave. It was more intuitive, easier to see, and easier to operate. It might seem like these negatives are a deal breaker. But the improved quality of life that we're enjoying now outweigh these small negatives. I would ask the designers to bring back the design of the original Wave and add a USB C connection for faster charging, instead of micro USB. If you suffer from hot flashes, night sweats, feeling cold too easily, I recommend giving the EMBR Wave 2 a try. And the seller does a great job of sending it out quickly to you too👍

Works once or twice, and then it doesn't
I have a problem that keeps me overheating when I exert myself. I have to walk 3 miles each way into my workplace, and it's in open sun all the way. I thought this would help reduce my sensation of being too hot, even in the winter when the highest temperature is usually under 70 degrees. It worked the first time I tried it; I felt the cool on my wrist, and within minutes I wasn't noticing how hot it was. I was really happy with the result, fooling my brain into thinking I was cool, at least enough to let me get through the walk. The problem is that after the first day I used it, it went dead, and I had to charge it. I did so--which is a little tricky to get two tiny prongs into the charger!-- and the first two times I did, it worked again. Then the third time it worked for one quick cool flash, and didn't even finish the little cycle of cool on, cool off. Now it's just useless, since it failed past the date to return it (I didn't need to use it right after Christmas to cool off!). I can't even find a way to contact the company to find out what could be going wrong, or to send it in to get fixed. It's a shame, because it would have been a boon when I am out and about in intense heat in the summer. I wanted it for that reason! The device would be a real boon for me, if only it worked. As it is, I am feeling duped by the company, and choose to warn others that this overpriced device and this company have problems too expensive to warrant taking a chance like I did.

Get it! (Updated Review 12/2)
I have owned this for over a year now! I had a period of 2 months that I did not have ANY hot flashes. It started again and so I wore the bracelet. It still holds a charge for days, shortens or ends my flashes, and I say buy it! It does get warm still with a long use (10min). I still love it! I have owned this for close to 4 months. I wear it everyday. The Embr2 works for me. You know how after the hot flash, you're all sweaty? That's when I use the warm setting. I'll go thru the Pros and Cons again: Pros: Battery life is still very good. I charge the bracelet maybe once a week. Combats the hot flash to either shorten the length or intensity. Helps to relax me to put me to sleep Cons: It's bulky like a watch. It gets it the way of my work sometimes. The bracelet is magnetic so things stick to it or it sticks to things. The magnetic closure is a surface closure. It allows the Embr to slide towards my elbow about 2" instead of staying at my wrist. Conclusion: I love it. I say try it. Hopefully you will find relief like I do! I read about 100 reviews which were 50%/50% to purchase. I've only had this device for 4 days so I will update it again. I'm inching closer to 53 and going thru it! The hot flashes are so severe, I have to stop whatever I am doing until it passes. I'm so uncomfortable. It's so unfair. I saw this, read the reviews, and decided to give it a chance. I want to address some other reviews: Skin irritation - the world is on fire right now. I can see being sweaty, and getting a rash. I have extra sensitive skin. No rash. Battery life - it came charged to 80%. It takes a specialized charger that's included. I've yet to charge it and have used it for 3 straight days. I have 20% battery as I type. Device Heating Up - yes, it gets pretty warm when on a 10 minute or more cycle. I haven't used that cycle more than a few times. Which leads me to... This device works for me. I have only had 2 severe hot flashes since Friday. I was having 2 every hour on the average. Each time it starts, I press the button and cool sensation pulses against my wrist. The 2 severe flashes I remember because they lasted 10-15 seconds longer than any other I had since I put this on. They went away or I was distracted because I don't remember them ending. My husband complained of leg pain and discomfort while trying to fall asleep. I put the Embr on him two of the past 3 nights, and he fell asleep within 5 minutes. Coincidence? Maybe. In my view, it worked. It has modes for stress snd comfort. I guess the pulsation are different. It is so subtle that you don't notice it. I haven't tried the heat yet. I will update in a few weeks.

OK, so I don't leave reviews normally but I hope this might be helpful for others. I have suffered with Raynaulds for many years, and like most sufferers have tried many items to help with symptoms. First I must qualify that my Raynaulds is fairly mild compared to many people, but it is still unpleasant and debilitating. Until now, the only thing that has helped is heated gloves. The only problem with these is they are fairly bulky; ideal for when out walking etc but not any use when at work or carrying out tasks. Although the Embr Wave 2 has received many excellent reviews, they were predominantly for the cooling effect; I couldn't find anyone who had specifically tried it for Raynaulds. I didn't expect it to work but thought it was worth a go given the 30 day money back guarantee. I also considered that it might be quite bulky at 41mm diameter and 15mm thickness. This turned out not to be a problem even for my smaller 6.25inch wrists, as the device is very nicely made, smooth and rounded so that it slips under your clothes really easily. I generally forget I am wearing it. So..... Game changer! No, it doesn't offer a cure. No, it doesn't even stop attacks altogether. No, it is not a miracle. And no, it may not work for everyone. But.... it certainly had helped my symptoms and made my daily life a lot more pleasant. The app (optional) allows you to configure the device and was very easy to use. After experimenting I set the device so that when activated it provides a gentle (level 2) warmth for 30 mins. Whenever I feel an attack coming on, or am aware of a situation that would normally cause an attack, then I activate the device. As a result, the attacks are very much reduced and a lot shorter. Obviously it will not replace gloves for outdoor walking etc, but for daily life at work (air conditioned office, you know the problem!) and around the home, this device has offered a fantastic relief and improvement to quality of life. You do need to get used to it for a couple of weeks to get the maximum benefit, but if you suffer with Raynaulds then I highly recommend giving it a go. The 30 day money back guarantee means you can return it if it doesn't help you, so you have nothing to lose.
