In mid March I planted 100 seeds in seed starting trays with domes, with a heat mat under until they sprouted. I then removed the domes & gave them plenty of light until they had 4-6 leaves. Then I transplanted them into bigger plastic cups that I made drain holes in, where they lived happily until the end of May when I planted them in my pots outdoors. I saw a few blooms by mid June. My photos show what they look like today, July 6. The pictures don’t even do them justice. They are in a very large pot and 2 10” pots and they have grown so big and gorgeous, I’m just in love with the colors and I’ll absolutely buy these seeds again for next summer!! By the way, this was my first time starting seeds indoors. Be patient because it takes 80-95 days for impatiens to bloom so you’ll need to take that into consideration as far as when you’ll start them and when you will be able to put them outside according to your zone. I’m in zone 5.

Planted several seeds in a hanging baskets. The seeds did not grow into impatiens. A different plant (weed looking) popped up where the seeds were planted.

I have had zero luck with impatiens seeds before but big surprise these all sprouted. I did put them on a heating pad but the grow lights were 10 inches above them. I separated them into individual cups. It is a long time to late May when I should plant these outside. I will try to share a photo when they are blooming. An update a little over two months later. Not sure why these all seem to be the same color but they are doing great even infoors. See the new photo!

Flowers arrived after a bit

I’m writing this for anyone who may be on the fence. I was not very optimistic when I ordered these based on the reviews. As some reviews have said, I don’t think this was 100 seeds. BUT, I do think all or most of the seeds germinated. The impatiens are the first 2 rows in the photo and I planted them 10 days ago (3/20).This is my first time planting from seed indoors. I got the Jiffy greenhouse kit on Amazon, as well, and have them under the dome and grow light 24/7, except when I leave the apt for something and then I turn it off.So, as the title says, so far, so good.

I love my flowers!!! They are as pretty as I was expecting! I’ll definitely buy some more seeds!

I saw nothing with these unfortunately but also I am a newbie to gardening.
