I bought this notebook for revision after seeing that they were thicker pages. I honestly see no difference in this paper than a normal notebook. But like the feature that you can take a picture and have it on your phone

After a 10-year search, I believe I have found the perfect notebook for me, the Hamelin 8x10 1-subject hardcover dual-wire bound notebook. I am an avid fountain pen user who keeps all of his noteworthy ideas in a single notebook (until full) and also takes that notebook everywhere. All I need are 4 qualities I have never before, crazily enough, seen in any one notebook: (1) FOUNTAIN-PEN-FRIENDLY PAPER; (2) HARD COVER; (3) B-5 OR SEMI B-5 SIZE; and (4) DOUBLE WIRE BINDING.First, the paper is smooth; I have not experienced any feathering or bleed-through or show-through; and I can easily write on both sides of a sheet. Fortunately for everyone reading this review, all FP-friendly paper works well with pencils and other pens. Second, the hardcover and double-wire binding allow me to write on-the-go and anywhere, with or without a desk or table. The notebook does not have to lie on my lap open and unwieldy, taking up 16-plus inches of space: it can be "folded" back on itself. Third, the B-5/semi B-5 size is a perfect Goldilocks size for me—neither too large nor too small. On top of all that, the paper is bright white, which flatters the various ink colors I use. The ruling is Goldilocks 7mm: not too narrow, not too wide. It has two front pockets. And it's affordable.No matter what kind of writing utensil one uses, this is a great notebook. For FP-users who write on-the-go, it's essential.

Sturdy board covers, front and back were important to me because I don’t always have a flat surface available. Also, nice wide spiral binding means pages turn easily. Pages are college ruled, and perforated for easy removal. They also seem to be of good quality, not flimsy, and I am not having bleed through issues using fountain pen ink. I cannot say how it would handle other kinds of ink. It has a pocket inside the cover, which will be useful. Also included is a page of peel and stick labels which can be used like bookmarks. I have not tried these so I won’t review them.I am very well pleased with this purchase and have ahead ordered a second one.

I'm an avid note-taker and I buy a lot of notebooks for college. I'm very picky about what I write in and have been happy with Mead Cambridge Edition and Fringe.I bought hamelin because the size and paper quality sounded great, and they were more affordable than my favorite brands.The advertised size in the headline states the notebooks are 8"x10" and the description states they are 7"x10". The true size is 6.9"x9.7" (175mm X 247mm). I've included a picture of the cover flap that isn't in the seller's pictures.While the paper is heavier and feels soft to the touch, the bright white color looks like books I used in grade school. Paired with the light stock cardboard covers, the whole notebook appears cheap.The cardboard covers are not as durable as they look. The front cover of the red notebook came damaged like it had been dropped, so every sheet of paper is crumpled in the bottom left corner.Some positive points are how you can take pictures of your notes and download them to their note organizing app, Scribzee. I didn't reviewed the app because I will be returning the notebooks. The spiral binding is strong and the rings are tight. The pages are easy to flip. Hamelin exhibits thoughtfulness towards their buyers by making the Scribzee app, and including sticker tabs and pockets. The notebooks have a minimalist feeling to them and are better for the environment than other brands that have plastic covers.There are cheaper notebooks for people who throw their notes away after class is over. These notebooks are not a high enough quality for someone like myself, who enjoys keeping handwritten information for long-term use.

Wonderful quality. Paper is thick and my felt tipped pens don't leak. The cover is thick and sturdy.The app is awful! My phone camera app takes better photos and there's no way to import pics. I wanted to use it for Korean language learning but the title/ file name doesn't support that. That renders it useless to me since I don't know the romanization. I'd have to open each page to see if it's what I need or not.It's great if you just use it as a notebook.
