Q: What is the power consumption of this tank-less heater.

The instantaneous power consumption while the hot water is running is quite high (up to 18kW or 27kW depending on which model you’re looking at on this page). However, when no hot water is being used, the power consumption is 0 (or a minuscule amount to run an LED light or something). The total power consumption over the course of several days or longer should be much lower than a tank heater but the short term power usage while the heater is making hot water will be much higher than a tank heater. It’s just that the unit sits idle most of the time while a tank heater will use power fairly frequently even when no hot water is needed as the water in the tank cools off over time and needs to be re-heater fairly constantly

Q: Can this unit supply a 3,700 sq foot home with 3 1/2 baths?

I live in the Midwest and it's been great for my 500sqft home 1 fixture at a time, WITH THE EXCEPTION of my bathtub's faucet in the winter. Once temperatures go below 30f - 40f outside, it can't keep up with that tub faucet which I imagine is pumping out 4GPM and trying to get it up to the 110f - 130f range. It's winter now and I just tried out more combinations: bathroom lav (sink) + kitchen sink work well together at full blast -- napkin numbers put this at 1.25 + 1.5 = 2.75 GPM bathroom lav + shower head work well together at full blast -- 3.75 GPM kitchen sink + shower head start struggling to keep up with demands - 4 GPM (same as bathtub) I'd say it works very well for what it advertises, and besides winter hot baths it's been amazing. I'll likely try to install a flow limiter on the bathtub to get it down to the 3GPM range and I bet that will get me hot winter baths again, albeit a little slower but I'm okay with that. If I remember in the Spring once temps go back up past 40+ degrees I'll try this again!

Q: I have a double pole 30 amp breaker would be possible to just change the breaker as I have a two story house and wiring is in the areas between floors

If you have three 40 amp breakers, are you running one wire from each breaker to the unit or two from each breaker?
