Very sturdy. Will support full size/fully loaded 1911. Although it is not as strong when not doubled up. Recommend not adjusting the side on which you will carry the firearm/heavy stuff, but rather adjusting the other side.*sidenote*Has a strong chemical odor, some type of preservative/scotch guard or something. Airing out outside. Will update later.UPDATE March 6th: Still retains overpowering odor. Have tried baking soda, washing machine (twice), and leaving it to air out for 2 months (I forgot about it).

Terrible smell of chemicals
This belt smelled like chemicals so bad that it left and odor in my room for a whole day after I opened the package. I couldn’t even use the belt and returned it instead because the smell was so strong.
