Looking forward to reading the next one. This is a very entertaining read. I was glad I found a book that was more than just smut and unnecessary banter. Don’t get me wrong it has just enough spice but you can tell this author is not desperate for pages and is simply a talented writer

4.75 stars. god this book was really really amazing. angelo and rory are literally perfect for each other and i just can’t get enough of them. i was literally swooning the entire time. i love that he killed everyone who looked or touched rory and i love that he is excluding her from the business.

Sinners Anonymous was a decent mafia romance book. This is the first book I’ve read from this author, and I did quite enjoy the overall storyline and characters. However, there were a few aspects that felt a bit underwhelming.It is dual POVs of the main characters (Angelo Visconti and Rory Carter) and has some great tropes like an age gap, opposites attract, a forbidden and dark romance. I would recommend checking the content and trigger warnings before reading as well.The plot was quite interesting with the sinner anonymous hotline and the mafia element. The introduction to the world and location was great as well but it was constantly mentioned, so it did get quite repetitive. I’ll also say that the pacing was quite slow at times as well.The romance between Angelo and Rory while insta-lust was very much a slow burn. They did have some good chemistry and sexual tension though. There were some amusing, intense and heartbreaking moments between them as well. While full on smut doesn’t occur until about 84% into the story, there were a few spicy moments throughout.The main conflict wasn’t as bad as I thought it was going to be. There was a lot of buildup with Angelo’s family and the contract Rory had, but surprisingly it was all resolved quite easily. So, I was just expecting a little bit more to be honest.The ending was pretty good but not fully concluded as the story continues with Angelo’s brother.Overall, just a good read and introduction to the series.

This book was amazing at first I definitely questioned it and then I completely fell in love with everything about this book! It has such a good enemies to lovers story!

Good writing and banter, not much actual sex for majority but enough smut to keep me interested. Will read more

Did I just stuble upon a fantastic new Mafia-author?Series was reccommended by my book club - I will immediately start to read book two!

3.75. I love me some slow burn. I was really into this book and I thought I might have 4.5 stars. Unfortunately around the last 70% just felt a little out of character for the Mafia. It is still a good read, and I plan on reading the rest of the series.

I went into this book completely blind and knew from the first chapter that this would be a new favorite. I have the physical books but chose to start with the audiobooks and am so happy I did. It is DUET STYLE and got me invested in the story/characters right away.Mafia Romance is my happy place, and while this is more what I would consider 'Mafia Lite' (Angelo was 'reformed at the begining of the book but I'm certain it will get more into the 'Familia' in the following books) it has all the elements I love. Enemies to Lovers, Age Gap, Touch Her and Die.It is also the perfect 'slow burn' with plenty of longing, angst and forbidden attraction leading up to the spice.
