UPDATE I'm more in love with this product! I now apply to damp shampoo and conditioner hair (same line, It's absolutely beautifully formulated) and sleep with moisture on. I discovered if I apply a really generous amount of moisturizer, its a bit much for styling for work. (I have straight grey hair). What's amazing is i rinse scalp and hair - rinse only. Holy cow, its magnificent. Just enough rinses out without stripping all moisturizer or the need to shampoo. I'm loving my scalp and hair moisturized. Us straight haired girls can learn a thing or two from you curly girls. If it wasn't for my severe dry scalp I would never have realized the beauty of moisturized hair! Truly lovely product. Have already reordered and telling my sisters. Friends and coworkers!! Well done! Hair is type 1 straight. I didn't realize just how dry my scalp was! I have scalp psoriasis and have tried medicated shampoos, oils, and perscription liquid steroids. All dried my scalp even more. My scalp became drier as i grew out my grey hair.. I happened upon this line scrolling Amazon. I was a bit skeptical. Tried the lotion sparingly and didn't have patience for parting my hair trying to only apply to scalp and not hair. Said the hell with it and decided to just use it to moisturize my entire scalp over night. What a difference!!! Immediate releif, soothing, no itch. My scalp soaks this lotion up overnight and feels super hydrated in am after washing that lasts all day. So much so it dawned on me I wasn't scratching my head all day anymore Also purchased the shampoo and conditioner. Didnt know how the shampoo would hold up to cleaning hair from all the moisturizing lotion. Well it worked beautifully. Didnt strip my scalp or hair. But got hair squeaky clean. The conditioner is light yet very nourishing This is a beautiful line. Smartly formulated. I use the lotion as a scalp treatment 3x per week and my scalp is remarkably better after using for a month.. I'd say 50%. No more big itchy flakes and amazing of all no itch!! Love this line. Feels and smells like a spa treatment at home. Well done!!

I have naturally curly grey hair and it’s frizzy. This product wasn’t made for me but it worked for my daughter and granddaughter very nicely. I need something else for my hair type. I give this a 5 because it looks good on them!

This lotion has tremendously helped my dry, itchy scalp. It provides lots of moisture and soothes my dry skin. It does carry a photosensitivity warning though, and this is real. I had my natural 4c hair in mini braids, therefore I had exposed scalp, this summer. I went outside to play with my child and within 5 minutes my scalp was on fire! The sun on my scalp was intense! A hat solved the problem, but I started avoiding this product during the dog days of summer after that. If I have my hair in a wash and go or an afro this is not a problem. If you have thin hair, definitely wear a head cover outside.

I had major dry scalp with severe itching. (After visiting dermatologist, it turns out I have scalp psoriasis.) Prior to seeing the dermatologist, I used this for approximately 1.5 months & probably applied it appropriately 3-4 times a week. It stopped the itch each time I applied it. Oh, what a relief! It did not get rid of the dry scalp, but as the ad specifically states they do not claim to treat medical conditions, this is understandable & acceptable. The scent is described as coconut, but I did not notice an overwhelming scent. Which is why I gave it five stars in this area, as I am sensitive to strong scents. I paid $18 & it is currently selling for $15. At either price it was an excellent purchase for the relief it provided prior to seeing a doctor. If you do not have an actual medical condition, it may relieve your dry scalp. I feel it is an excellent product and functioned exactly as advertised.

The first thing I noticed about this product when I took it out of the product is its unrealistic warning that after using the product on your scalp you should not be in the sun for 1 week after use. Obviously, this is ridiculous and makes me question how natural the formulas being used in the product are despite natural oils being 2 primary ingredients besides ceramides. So, I wouldn't recommend using this product in the summer or if you have a scalp prone to sunburn. I've always struggled with dry and oily scalp between washes and the dryness got worse recently so I tried this moisturizer. 1st application I used it on my dry hair in between washes when I started to feel itchiness but no noticeable oil at the roots yet. I applied about 2 pea-sized pumps to my scalp and slept on it. This caused the itchiness to go away the next day-- I definitely noticed it soothed my scalp. However, it left an oily feeling and appearance in my roots which I cannot stand so I ended up washing it a day early. I have wispy bangs though, so when my hair is even slightly oily it's very noticeable. Since then I have applied it as instructed after washing and towel-drying my hair ~twice a week. It does not leave an oily feeling in my hair when applied this way, and so far I have noticed less dry skin flakes, though whether this is solely because of the moisturizer vs the climate and my shampoo it is a little hard to tell at this point. It is kind of an expensive product and I am a bit disappointed that I can't apply it on my dry hair between washes as a scalp soother, but since I only use it sparingly I'm sure it will last a while.

Works wonders for my dry flaky scalp (which is different to dandruff and most products don't work). Reduced dryness in my scalp almost immediately. Works great, smells great and you can use it to style your hair after applying it as well! I couldn't be happier! Thank you for making LivSo!

I suffer with dry scalp on occasion and have realised I often get allergic reactions (irritation, flakes) after using some hair products, so I generally try to make my own products. Although more expensive than other products I have used, this keeps my scalp moisturised and itch-free. I use it on average every other day or two days. This is my first bottle and has lasted me over 3 months and still have over a quarter left. A little goes a very long way on your scalp. Will definitely be buying again.

Usually I cant go a week with braids or any hairstyle for that matter, without a dry, itchy, flaky scalp. After using this lotion for several weeks, I am now 4 weeks into having braids without a single flake in sight! I think I've just found my miracle product!
