ACCUWOOD ARROW REST Kit For thousands of years arrows have been shot off of a wood shelf. Like the shelf of the Longbow and Recurve bows. The is some thing mystical about shooting a arrow off the wood rest. For quite a while Chief AJ has been shooting arrows out of His Elite sling Bows with metal arrow rest and Whisker Biscuits’. Then about eighteen months ago a wood crafter named Joe Greble of Richfield, NC sent Him a smart phone photo of a wood arrow rest he had attached to His Elite sling bow. He texted about how sweet it is to shoot arrows over. Chief AJ texted back, “Hey Joe, send me a wood arrow rest” Answer came back: “Chief I only made things in Left Hand” Chief AJ reply: “I shoot Left Handed, sent one” When the wood arrow rest arrived Chief AJ installed it on a Elite and took the first shot. Bulls-eye with the arrow flying very straight and true. Arrow after arrow went into the center of the target. The tubes and pouch did not come through the forks and smack by bow hand. In no way could the wood arrow rest damage arrow fletching. Of course AJ could not shoot balls with the wood arrow rest install on the Elite frame. The Chief tried to hand make the metal bracket to hold the wood arrow rest but result were very crude. So, He had machine shop make metal brackets and anodized to match the frame of the Elite. Next the Chief found a Wood Working Shop to make the arrow rest. This all toke several months. Now Chief AJ has a finished wooden arrow rest for the Elite Sling bow and will fit on the old HFX sling bows. The finish metal bracket with fitted wooden arrow rest now needed a Name. Chief AJ turned this over to Elite Shooter Tony Reaves. Tony came up with “ACCUWOOD” which pretty much nails this arrow rest device form wood. Now available factory install on Elite ready to shoot or as a Accuwood kit you can install on your Elite, HFX or even a Whamo-O. The Kit is truly ambidextrous LH or RH.
