Focus Industries BQ-08-WBSS Portable Barbecue Light, Stainless Steel Finish

well,the unit is well designed and looks great.I had a bIg issue with it I wanted to share.I used it right away and noticed 2 things 35W isnt enough light for my grill,and it got VERY hot after being on for an hour.So i figured id use a cooer/brighter LED instead,more light and around 8% of the heat of halogen.Just to make sure of the base design so I bought the right LED,i went to take off the hood.OMG, Im 6-4 220 and could not get it off.Tried heating it up and cooling it down (14degrees) and couldnt budge it.Tried wd 40, nothing.Contacted supplier and though cordial,just kept telling me it twists of'f Being an engineer thought about it more.Figured maybe another solvenT might work,like acetone etc,but might damage the socket.Then though maybe dishwasher liquid.Poured it over the ridge between the hood and base, and next morning brougth it to the strongest guy i know and voila,it came off.When i looked inside the hood i could see some gunk on the metal,that had obviusly dried and acted like glue

Just bought another one recently. The last one lasted 9 years outside with no cover in the sun. Very well made. Made in USA!
