August 2024, Dr. was ready to prescribe meds for high Cholesterol and pre-diabetes. I was determined NOT to spend the rest of my life on meds! Almased has been a God-send for me. It has helped me stay on track and lose 50+ pounds in 7 months. I have slowed the loss a little since the skin is getting a little saggy and I want to give it time to catch-up, but will continue as I need to lose another 12 pounds to meet a "healthy" BMI. Around 11:00 a.m. I use the vanilla along with a scoop of ice, a little water, and another scoop of Oikos vanilla yogurt. It's delicious and helps me feel satisfied and happy about my weight loss journey.

Great product. Came well-packaged. Arrived on time. If trying to lose a few pounds, as I am, just remember "it took a while to gain, and it will take awhile to lose". The product keeps my appetite at bay very well. Do try to exercise a bit...walking, maybe some arm lifting with weights, or 14-16 oz. cans from the pantry. It is pricey to continue with the plan, so don't "sneak eat". Drink water to help curb appetite between meals or shakes. I have felt well so far during my experience with the product. I plan to continue with it for a while longer to reach my goal. Losing weight so far has not been quick, but it has not been difficult either.

As others have said, the taste is awful! For me, I can only drink it by adding cold coffee and sugar free vanilla bean Torani syrup. I have tried fruit but it doesn’t mask the flavor of the actual product itself. It has helped me with bloating, hunger pangs and I finally lost a few pounds so it does really work.

Taste is not horrible and after trying different combinations and having to suffer through the fails, I find that adding it to my Splash Berry flavored water is the easiest to mix and drink because the berry flavor covers up any unpleasant taste and the flavor is familiar. I was really disappointed to read that succesful weight loss is based on using approximately 6 cans of this product. At $35 a can that is about $200 and it does not guesstimate how much may be needed for weight maintenance, so this could get pretty costly, especially since their recommended mix ratio of 6 Tablespoons of the powder for each glass uses up a hefty amount of the powder so I'm guessing I will need at least 2 cans of the power per month to support this "recipe". Since I have purchased the product and already opened it I will give it a try. I do find that it helps me to feel full but I also still have cravings all evening to snack on candy or other items to take the hunger edge off. It is easy to use, but I will probably want to add to this review in a month or two to truly evaluate the effectiveness of the product. I have lost a couple of pounds but I have also been making a strong effort to maintain portion control, reduce snacking and watch calorie intake so even without this product I feel those efforts have contributed to the weight I have lost in the past 4-6 weeks.

I love the vanilla flavor, I mix it with chocolate almond milk for a very satisfying shake twice per day, and the excess weight has literally dropped off.

This stuff just wasn't for me. I had a couple of problems with it.The first issue I had with it was that it did nothing to satisfy my appetite. Not even a little. Less than two hours after drinking it, I still had massive hunger pains, sugar cravings, and symptoms like I was going to spiral into a hypoglycemic episode. And I'm a small person with a small appetite, so I don't normally even need much to keep me feeling full.The second issue I had was the taste. I just couldn't get around it. And believe me, I really tried to find a way to make it taste better. I tried it with coffee, cocoa powder, smoothies, matcha, etc and every time, I struggled to not repeatedly gag. To me, it tasted like a combination of soggy cardboard, saw dust, and stale malt powder.Maybe some people enjoy that kind of taste and can handle using it as a meal replacement, but I simply couldn't.

Day 1I was afraid to try this most people talked about how bad it tasted it's not that bad.I am 5'4" so I mixed it with half a cup of powder I did mix it with one and a half cup water and have a cup of unsalted chicken stock since you're supposed to have2- 4 cups a day anyway.. totally drinkable will update as days go on. People say they have a hard time dissolving it when I do is I put it in a glass and I use an electric whisk as I dump the powder into the glass Blends it perfectly!
